Looking at a house with a 500 ft long gravel driveway

My gravel drive is 800 ft and uphill in both directions

How steep is the grade? Does the sun hit it well? My gravel drive is around 450’ and I don’t salt it. I also do my best to keep the stone on the driveway when I plow. Some years are ok (this year) and some are terrible. In my case, the sun hits it good so it’s not typically covered with a good base for long. Taking care of a gravel driveway is an art form. One I do not enjoy, but will continue until we are done building a shop because the blacktop would get destroyed.

Hard to say the grade but it’s pretty steep !
