We were going to go to Quality Meats tonight but all they have is outdoor dining!
Edit...we’re gonna do the outdoor dining. Heck the place looks good online!

Crap I wish I say this earlier I was helping a friend move today... did you go? How was it

So, we have a bit of a rainfest going on this AM. What are some things we can do given the rain? We’re midtown and have to be at the Natural History Museum at 3.

we had planned the boat ride this am but no go on that.

We had an excellent meal at Quality Meats. The corn creme brûlée was out of this world. Let alone the steaks. Some girl from Belarus was our waitress and she was awesome.

I texted him the full picture instead of just the food and this was his response..... I think someone may be still a little shaken up from the after work events last night.

He also wants to know how you liked it

Rainy day at Eataly? It’s all indoors except the rooftop Restaurant part.

Or the new Hudson Yards area?

Dude - we went to Eataly yesterday for lunch.

Our family is Sicilian. We were awestruck. Unreal. Also slightly embarrassed at just how good it was compared to our family recipes and home cooking.

Rain has stopped - just grab a coffee and wander. Up Fifth, Grand Central, St Patricks, window shop, Central Park (time it for the Delacorte Clock at the zoo - every half hour), then slowly head cross the park to the NHM.

That’s what we’ve been doing. Liberty Bagels and then up for some window shopping, St Patrick’s, and what not.

Got a bit wet so we’re trying to air out with some coffee and a dry seat.

If you can't find great food and something of interest in NYC, you just aren't trying in life.

I'm partial to the history museum as one of the displays features my backyard and the area around Stissing mountain here in Dutchess county.

Enjoy the rest of the day.

I don't if you've seen it, but Stanley Tucci has a show on CNN where he explores and eats his way across Italy. It's a fun watch.

Somehow we made it through Central Park and are chugging away pina coladas at some tiki bar in UWS. UWS seems pretty nice and manageable.

That’s my home. Great area for families, good schools & proximity to Central Park. Negatives are plenty of elitists, socialists & defund the police crowd.

Thanks for all of the dialogue and suggestions. It was a fun trip. The weather didn't co-operate too much but we made the best of it. Food was probably the highlight of the trip - we had fantastic meals from Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. Not a single critique!

We walked right at 40 miles over three days covering ground. Feeling it today.

I've found it's not a given on great meals anymore. You really need to do your research and have good intel from the locals.
