I like the Guide Gear ladder stands from Sportsman's Warehouse.  They make a double rail ladder that is ultra sturdy.  For all day sits, I like one with a big platform.  I find that most of the shooting rails are too low on ladder stands period.  I have had some luck raising them up with wooden shims.  The Guide Gear ladders are also reasonably priced compared to a bigger name brand.

Yep the 1.5 wide your bag sits right next to you.

I have been having a hard time find a new ladder stand. I pick this one up for $200 does anyone have any experience with these?

I don't,  but it looks good. As long as the foot platform can be snugged up against the tree I'm sure it will be a great stand!

My wife and I were in the Auburn Bass Pro yesterday. They had a bunch of these in stock. I picked one up, as it's the same one I got last year, and it's a great stand! $159 on sale, it costs less than last years too! Got a spot I found post season, near the big swamp, I am going to set it up there. Way to thick to hunt from the ground there, the way I prefer to. Need to be above to see anything. If this spot plays out like I think it will. My rut buck will be killed there.

I attached the seat frame of my Ladder Stand to the tree with Strap Iron and remembered to make room for growth of the tree ! Naturally this is on my private land so I can do whatever .

You can use a ratcheting strap. I put two on. Put new ones on every season. Just loosen them after the season is over
