Is it too late to assign Kamala to the case? I don’t believe the root cause and been pinpointed yet.

She's too busy working on our southern border and giggling !

And I can't go to Canada and walleye fish or chase a bear...what is this sad world coming to ?

Any time someone (politician/car salesman especially) tells me that they're doing it for me I put my back against the wall..because I'm sure "it's about you"; that's the funniest crap I've heard all day right there....

I can only repeat the words of a lawn-sign down the road....."Don't blame me. I voted for Trump"

Is there anything that Biden has handled correctly......*ANYTHING*? I have to wonder who really is running the country. This thing and so many other U.S. crises are so unexplainably messed up in ways that really are starting to look intentional.

Biden, Trump battle over who's to blame for Afghanistan

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/biden-trump-battle-over-whos-to-blame-for-afghanistan/ar-AANnXT7?ocid=SL5GDHP&li=BBnb7Kz

Now the finger pointing starts.

The article states “With Republicans and national security hawks second guessing the entire operation, Biden dug in on his decision on Saturday while pointing the finger in part at Trump.

”Second guessing”?  All those involved in the planning and execution of military operations in Afghanistan are a failure.  Anyone with a knowledge of Afghan history and the failure of the Vietnam War could have seen the same outcome.  Just like in South Vietnam, the will of the people was not supporting the destruction of communist forces in their country.  Former Presidents Kennedy and Johnson were well aware of the unwillingness of many South Vietnamese men refusing to fight the communists.   To many South Vietnamese it was “our war”, not theirs.

The Afghan mission was to get Osama Bin Laden.  So on May 2, 2011, Bin Laden was reported killed in Pakistan, not Afghanistan by former President Barrack Hussein Obama.  So the mission was accomplished ten years ago, but our government kept sacrificing our military personnel to maintain the profits of the war profiteers.  Why did not Obama end this war?  Why did not former President Trump end the war?  Well the article states “The Trump administration brokered a deal with the Taliban in 2020 that laid out a plan for the U.S. to fully withdraw from Afghanistan by May 2021 if the group upheld certain commitments, such as denying safe haven to al Qaeda.  Trump tried even though the Taliban were terrorist liars.

Of course that deal meant nothing.  The Taliban are terrorists who follow a religion that permits them to lie to those who do not believing their religion.  Added to Trumps situation was the relentless impeachment attacks upon him led by the Democrats, the party of Obama and Biden based on false information to distract and disable Trumps ability to work for the American people.  Ironic how former President Nixon wanted to end the Vietnam War faced impeachment and Trump

The reality is there are people unwilling to fight for their freedom.  There are Americans who are unwilling to fight for their own freedom.  They are no different than many of these Afghans now running.  Not just the old draft dodgers, but many others not held by any threat of a military draft since it ended on January 27, 1973.

Im not understanding all this blow stuff up talk.  We finally had a president for the first time in a long time who didn't bring us to war and was able to have dialogue with other leaders, while also delivering us the Trump vaccine.  That was phenomenal.   I’m not in favor of more obama era bombings and dronings.

I have only read part of this but I am sure I am probably in the minority. But to me it is long over due for us to get out of there. The fact that at anytime we left it wasn't going to be a mess isn't blame it on someone it's just a fact.  They have been fighting there longer than all of us and our ancestors have been around and will be fighting long after.  20 years is not only enough, it was too much.  We can't police them forever , it's not our country.

Trump also wanted us out of there. And would have as well if he were in office. Only blame here is the afghan forces and leadership and people themselves. In every civil war there will be winners and losers.  It is all messy.

But to send our troops over there to be their police isn't right and hasn't been in the other middle east countries either.  I am sorry for the brave troops that have fought there and died there. But it is fight you cannot win without the country wanting it. This has been proven over and over again.

Do you stay for another 20 years? All we can do is if acts of agression to the US occur is to hold them accountable to get those that have done it or face us bombing them flat and never put boots on the ground there again. It's a tragedy to many of the poeple there but there is no way this wasn't gonna be a mess in 10,20,30 or 40 years.

I am far far from a Biden fan and I think they botched a lot of how this could have went, but it had to happen. And when Trump was going to do it , it was still gonna be a mess.

It isn't blame to place , it's cultural differences in a part of the world that mostly hates us and our way of life.  We can't keep crusading and forcing it upon people that don't understand it or won't fight for it themselves.

I for one am glad we are out

Couldn't agree more.  They don't want us there. We have enough stuff to fix in this country to worry about another country that fundamentally doesn't have the same view on life.  Ask most troops that have gone over and they all new what was going to happen.  I'm not suprised at all.  We should of been out years ago instead of continuing to let our men and women go fight and get injured or killed for someone who doesn't want what we were pushing on them.

I agree we needed to be out of there. It is the advertising our steps to the enemy on how, when and so forth. Completely made a flipping disaster pulling out. We should have been fully prepared and no been blaring out our plans. I'm surprised Joe didn't get all of our allies there killed. Our intel on this sucked.

We tend to think our way of life is the best way and everyone wants it. And often that is true. But the fact that the overwhelming majority of man's time on Earth has not been under a democracy or a republic. And that most people have not lived this way or understand it or recognize what it is.  Man has always wanted to push whatever culture it believes in or lives in onto others. Just because it isn't socialism or communism (yet, lol) doesn't mean we aren't doing the same thing.

We can either occupy and take over a country or let it run as their own decide. It can't be halfway.  To continue to send Americans to any of the middle eastern countries to me is bad policy. We still need to be able to respond to threats on ourselves as needed. But our military and technology can now represent us without boots on the ground and occupation unless they are storming the shores, which Afghanistan or any of the Stan's aren't capable enough to do.

Are we also supposed to occupy Syria, Iran, Iraq, etc. ...  Etc.... The outcome will be the same. They are and will always fight among themselves for that sandbox. If they start throwing sand across the pond then we throw back boulders and stop it if we need to.

I think our Intel was fine. Every soldier or intel person I have heard said if we leave the country will be taken over in a maximum of 3 months.  But I def agree the plan to get out could have been much better.  Either way you were gonna see on the nightly news a mess across that country the minute we went from boots to suits.

That country was never gonna be what WE wanted it to be.

Not saying we left the right way. Should of carpet bombed every base, supply area whatever we had left there I don't think anyone would disagree with that.  Still wouldn't matter pull out this year, 10yrs ago, 10yrs from now plane's ect out of the equation it still would of fell back into there hands this quick.

Not everyone has the same views as our country and we need to just except it. Most countries don't except our life and that's fine.  Like it's been posted by others you try and come here and we will level you but we can't keep policing the world. I understand why we went in and supported why. However once that objective was complete we needed to start pulling out and let them fix themselves.

I've always said and will stick to it that we have a bunch of poverty, violence, poor education and so on in this country not to mention the major divide in political views. That we should be spending our tax dollars on helping our people instead of everyone else's and try to set the best example possible for the world in everything from treatment of citizens, education, healthcare, technology I could keep going.

I hope they can get out anyone that helped us while we were there because they will pay the ultimate price if it's not done.  It was going to be a messy situation either way you look at it and just unfortunate.

Was just watching an interview with an afghan soldier that was deployed there.  His story is all we need to know.  He said they met with 4 Afghan leaders and he was very impressed with them and the desire they showed to start getting their country straightened out and to a new start.  The meeting ended and the Afghan leaders went out and got into a pickup truck, one of them pulled out an automatic rifle and started firing and hit him and killed one of the others that were meeting with them.  Nuff said.

We never should have been there. Bin laden spent most of his hiding time in Pakistan. It's just we weren't going in there cause of deeper political issues and they also are a nuclear power.

After 911 we def needed to make a response. It should have stopped at the bombings or been more focused on those involved.  Then get Bin laden and get out.

There will always be another radical or terrorist group to come about. Call them by any name Isis, Taliban , Alqueda, etc.
