If your turkey taste like cardboard it is because of the cook. :-)

Nope, not even Col Sanders can make chicken or turkey white meat that don’t taste like cardboard to me.  The only way I will eat chicken willingly is if somebody else buys it and I drown it in hot sauce and blue cheese or gravy.

I agree totally  with wolc123 on turkey and chicken. Breast is o.k. in sandwich's, and chicken thighs if they are grilled.

But here is what I wish to say: Happy Thanksgiving to all. We have so much to be thankful for, I know I am. Personally, I am on the way to the Peoples Socialist State of Massachusetts. But they are good folks, just misguided and I enjoy their company.

Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

I will not be able to eat much today being limited to just a few ounces of mashed potato or something similar. But, as screwed up as my deer season and life in general became 3 weeks ago following a middle of the night medical emergency, subsequent surgery and a week in the hospital, I am thankful for simply being able to still be here with my family.

I'm thankful for my wife, kids, and 5 year old grandson being here to enjoy the day together, and the hope for more deer seasons to come.

I had to go back for seconds of the button buck roast.  It was the best ever. Turkey wrapped was way better than bacon wrapped.  The turkey heart  was good, turkey liver was tender but a little bitter tasting, and the turkey gizzard was too tough to chew.  Everything else was good also.

Enjoy the holiday all , we are having our Turkey day Saturday . Our youngest is a nurse and volunteers to work the holidays since he’s single to let the others with kids have it off .

Mine too.  Both daughters are nurses and worked today so their co workers with young families  could be together today.  We are going to celebrate on Saturday when they are both off.  Happy thanksgiving

Appetizers digesting, deep fried Turkey resting, some NFL projected to the shed!(please notice the gambrel that just was cleared Tuesday!)
Greatest holiday ever.
All this after a Fordham Prep victory over Xavier..longest running HS football rivalry in the state.
