More predators then prey

Beaver is one of the best carcasses to draw in predators .Bears will come from miles to eat a beaver .Once a bear discovers a caught beaver ,you might as well pull as they will keep coming back .

When I was up in Maine bear hunting the guide nailed a beaver tail up on a tree trunk. He said if can reach it without climbing shoot it. A little runt showed up and went right over to it.

It’s a grey fox, but now that you mentioned it it’s tail does look a little stubby.

I used to see grey fox in the hardwoods in central Pennsylvania but I never see them here in central NY.  Lots of red foxes.  Do they have different preferred habitat?
