if it ran half of your spool off u may need more line on your reel ,,, but hay nice catch and good big fish story

Part of the problem was that I had loosened my drag up a little too much, because I had broke a couple off earlier.  I got the lure back the first time, when the bass came up, a minute or two later and spit it up.  Glass-calm water and floating lures work good for that.

Eurasian Tench.  I represent the USEPA at multiple Superfund sites along the River since 1999.  Very rewarding work for me.

Kind of an ugly fish.  I winter if they taste good or fight hard.

Did you guys get any Muskies, bass, pike, or walleyes ?  What were the biggest ?

Catching those smaller schoolie mahi on light tackle is about as fun as fishing gets.

I made my triumphant return to the streams early this morning, 39° but the fishing was great. Of course I was lazy and didnt retie and it cost me a really big fish. Its a
Combination of lazy and cant see!

Nice trouts. Know the feeling on the knot. It's like a 20 minute timeout these days to retie.

you know you are old when your most important tool in your tackle box and fly vest is a pair of readers!!
