wow no critters coming in through those fences? In NY i had to always stop the squirrels, chipminks, and woodchucks. Here in CT I literally see rabbits everyday, but none got in yet. I got 4 foot fence and staked it down every foot around into the ground. I have a feeling a bear is gonna walk right through it though.

My back yard is all fenced in, I have a solar owl that has a motion detector, and Charlie patrols it while I'm home and it's daylight. Lol. Tacks won't even pick a tomato out of there.

And those gray pieces of lattice are to keep Charlie out of it.

Carrots, spinich and garlic looking good (shapes are getting there) just can't get the clover under control.  Peppers should be ready in about a week. I had to throw DE all over the eggplant, peppers and potatoes so I'll save a picture for when they look pretty.

My first year doing lots of flowers. Zinnias and marigolds are just blooming. Hoping they help when potatoe flea beetles and aphids.

Very nice gardens everyone!

Any guesses on what this is…I planted 2 last year and 4 this year.  There is no scale on the photo but they mature around an inch long.

I stopped by my food plot last night after being a little bummed seeing minimal 2 week growth, but wondered how the clover might do with 2.5 days of heat and sun and damn what a growth spurt. Garden same thing and with the rain yesterday things should be blowing up, I know for sure the mosquitos have.

Well planted some of my garden today got half row of onions red and sweet. Half row of radishes. 2 rows of beets. 1 row Swiss chard. 1 row of baby lettuce. 2 rows of green beans. Was going to plant started plant but it's too windy don't want them to break. Some garlic came back and horseradish coming. I m late this year planting cause we were planning on selling house. Well found a dream home everything we wanted tried to put in contingent. But our realtor told us our place had to be sold and have a closing date. I don't want to be stuck selling my house and not finding the perfect house that has everything we want. So we'll see what happens. Plus putting in a garden will keep me busy. Plus closing on houses up here is 8 weeks. We have time.

Helped wife with 2 flower beds and mulching. Then ran out of mulch. Lowe's tomorrow then hopefully be able to finish up my vegetable garden tomorrow too windy to plant my tomatoes peppers and broccoli cauliflower and brussel sprouts and eggplant. Then I'll plant my runners and corn. Has to be a certain way in between rows so I can get my tiller down them. Easier weeding that way then just have to weed around plants.

Get those yellow leafs off the one tomato plant, looks like blight. Just cut it off by trunk .

Don't usually fence it at all.Yea it's 35 x70 but lost some to field growth in wife's strawberries. Gonna pull them after season and mulch them. If the deer hit it I ll put up electric fence. Only had one year they cleaned me out before I could harvest. Mostly they leave it alone. I usually leave collard greens and cabbage and brussel sprouts for late season and winter they'll eat.
