I do think you have the record though.

PS who is Pattie?

PSS that other member you mentioned is still to this day the only member I've had an actual issue with and that includes all various members that I've had disagreements with. It's just that, differences of opinions but none of them ever threatened my family. So there's that.

Patti is my Late Girlfriend. Miss her...

The other Bill I believe was elder and moved to South Carolina I think.

For some reason, I can't recall if he was the same as the blackpowder bill guy or a different one. BPB was a popular guy here in NY for a long time. Haven't thought of either of those names in forever.

Whatever happened  to-- Papist??

He was on Political most of the time and disappeared.

he was banned for some pretty nasty name calling. I'm sure he's back in some form, as Trial mentioned I wouldn't be surprised if he is grouse or if the 2 of them at least share the same sheep at the farm.

Honestly I now look at this forum as a joke, very little actual hunting is talked about. I would never send a new hunter here if they were looking for info etc.

I’m on a few other forums that are more focused on a particular topic. I don’t remember when I started here but it’s a lot different now than it was.

well 3/4 or more of the posts on my unread feed are political now.

way to go guys... way to go.

Not because of too many political posts though.  Because of a lack of hunting posts.  That's why this site has issues.  Too many guys having a private circle jerk going in the message forums, conspiring to screw with members they don't like.  It's as if they never left high school.  If they weren't such clowns with their comments, this site wouldn't be such a joke.

I have a number of friends that hunt with me that have been on this site at my request, only to bail shortly afterwards saying there are too many a-holes on it.  New members don't last and it's not because of the political section.  BTW, if you use a tool for access that shows you all the political posts, fix the problem by accessing the site differently.  Expecting the site to change for you is childish.

It wouldn't phase me one bit if this site closed today.  It offers very little for experienced hunters and the inexperienced one's here don't show any respect to people with decades in the field.  People offer lots of experience in their posts responding to questions and too often get snide remarks in return for them. Don't expect them to respond anymore. And when you do have a lot of time in the field, you don't share photos of every squirrel, rabbit, coon or woodchuck you take, as it has become routine, as has the daily trips into the field that don't offer an exceptional experience, especially when you get snarky replies to the one's you do post.

When it comes to hunting sites online, you get the type of site you deserve, and that's what has happened here.

The Grouse does have some good points.  I sometimes post up Educational  Threads in the Turkey Forum for new members here who are Novices and perhaps get 17 views or so. " I have one coming up today-- but wonder if it is worth the 15 minutes to write and post it up.

Point A. Your conspiracies' are working overload man. Nobody is conspiring against you in private chat.

Point B. If you are indeed papsmear, it obviously phased you because you came back. But if you're not him, nobody understands why you're here anyway, you contribute nothing to the hunting part of this forum and just stir the pot. Try out reddit if you just want to talk about politics.

This place has indeed changed, it never used to be this way.

Just post it man. Don't worry about the views, sometimes writing up a post is therapeutic and even helpful to the author. The closer we get to turkey season the more people will be interested. But I hope you understand that sometimes your off-season posts aren't going to land because nobody is thinking about turkeys at that time.

Unfortunately this is true. The rest of us ,more even keeled outdoors people, get the site that YOU and the other constant crap posters deserve.

You should start explaining how to actually make the calls you refer too. If you want to help the novice or new hunters out and be educational, you need to explain what you're talking about, not just drop do this and do that. Just a tip and not trying to throw oil on your dojo floor.

Even keeled people don't attack every post others make as if they were of some morally superior stock.  Post more hunting posts and solve your problem.  Don't clog up the site with negative and attack comments.

Post it up Billy!

I’ll admit I scroll past most of your topics because a lot of what you post isn’t anything I’m interested in but I’m sure in doing this I miss some good info.

Please post a video of how you use your different box, and slate calls Bill. There are so many little things that can be done to vary the sounds. You are well qualified to do such a demonstration. Bet ya, even a few of us old guys can learn some tips from you! I have already!

And it surely won't be another useless political thread! I
