Haha I figured you would google it for me. Just using a ploy off the Rage name I guess. Chinese have enough of our money as it is. Id pass and be looking for a bow that your local archery dealer can support and service. It may be just me but an internet purchase on a bow or firearm is not something I would do anyhow.
-
Isnt Wizard Archery bows a product of Rage?

Boy if its this hard for us with computers and phones imagine how hard it is for the Amish to report. Why does this state always make things more complex then it needs to be? They require you to report yet make it impossible for some and hard for everyone else. Stupid.

I agree with Kludes, dont stoop to this other guys level and put a scar on other fellow sportsmen to try and save your spot. After all trapping is how this country was started.

When I got my license the Clerk seemed rather amazed that the correct info was all printed on the same tags it needed to be on. She said it was the first one of hundreds she has printed out that was correct. I asked if she had to reprint all the others and she said nope that DEC told her to tell the license holders to cut them with scissors and if they had everyone reprint tags they would run out of the new camo paper.

That was cool. Probably the deers first encounter with a human. I have had 3 real close encounters over the years while hunting. First time I was 16 and had a fawn take an apple I was eating out of my hand. in my 30's me and my Brother were tracking a blood trail on his first bow kill, we sat down for a break and get a drink of water. As we sat we were chatting and all of a sudden a deer blew right behind us, turn around and there stood a doe within a couple feet of us, never even heard it come in. Last time was a couple years ago taking my oldest boy out on his first deer hunt, we hear this buck grunting like crazy and deer running all around us. This little spike was chasing 5 does all over the place and right by us, one doe stopped right next to my boy and stared at him for what seemed like forever, he reached up to touch its face and it took off. 3 cool moments in the wild I will never forget and got to share 2 of them with family.

I could care less what the laws are in Texas I live in NY. Besides what does that have to do with one guys opinion anyhow? I dont personally call getting set in a tripod in front a timed feeder hunting, I call it killing. Hunting is way more invovled that getting placed in front of the deer. LIke I said my opinion
-
ooops sorry Predate I didnt realize you were out there hunting.

Found a picture of it for you Biz!

Best wishes firehunter. I know it may not be the same but go get yourself a nice camera and go shoot some deer with that. At least this would put you in the woods and less chance of over straining yourself and slowing the recovery. Nice peace and quiet in the woods with a camera in hand could do wonders for your spirit as well.
-
Thats not hunting thats just killing. There is no hunting involved in that. lmao

I put it in a tin can that sets next to my drill press to lubricate and help cool the drill bits when drilling metal. Works pretty good.
-
Rocky, you got nothing compared to the rocks I got in one of my food plots lol. I can walk across my one food plot without touching dirt . Nice job.

What does baiting do to a deers digestive system? Does it mess it up? You can read about how supplementle feeding can do more harm than good and also can mess there stomach up. Wouldnt such things as DirtBag have somewhat the same effect if consumed to a certain degree? If such things are so attrative to deer do they pass up more native food sources just to get to this crap? I can not picture in my head this stuff is like a piece of candy but rather a whole bowl of candy to them. If it is we wouldnt see the pictures of ground torn up all around bait piles. This has got to effect them negativly other than the potential death by hunter scenario.

I clearly made a mistake in my last statement. I had to go look to be sure as like everything with the DEC you have to learn a whole new language to understand it sometimes lol.

Is Cuomo running unopposed?
wdswtr replied to Doc's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
On a news interview I watched last week with Astorino, he was asked if he is lacking funds for compaining. He said he was not but does not have the funds Cuomo does, Said he was waiting for the opportune time to start. HUH? Wonder when that is going to be. -
Ok Im confused, the bow/ml tags are the same tags, if you get a ML license you dont get any additional tags than you would if you just bought bow only. You get a either sex and an antlerless tag with bow now if you buy your ML license they just put the words BOW/MZ on those two tags. If you dont actually use a ML why would you buy it you are gaining nothing but a thinner wallet.

We have some starting to change here. I thought it was pretty early myself but here is what I was told by a scientist. Certain areas of the state the softwoods budded a tad early last spring, then we got a week long cold snap and the buds retracted. It was pointed out that you could tell which trees this happened to by looking at leaf sizes. The stress this causes makes for rather smaller leaf sizes and tends to make them start to change color sooner than most years. When I was told this it came as no surpirse because I have pointed out several time how my soft maple trees have leafs half the size than normal. I can only assume since they are smaller that the photosyntheshis process that makes the sugars in my maples I will be having a very low sugar content this next spring for maple season. I hope not.

Here in lies the problem, too many have cried lion on false occurances and the majority will no longer believe it, including myself. Kind of reminds me of a childhood story.

True but some of them depending upon the bishop pay into a community aid system to help there fellow amish when in need. Specifically medical needs but it is used for other needs as well. It is a tax but it stays in the community and actually gets used for the purpose intended unlike the same tax system we pay to our own government. There systems seems to be working much better than ours lol. The real mind boggling part is hardly ever does one of them take advantage of this available money, they most often will find a different avenue to pay for there own needs and let the money be used for someone else who might have a more severe need for it. Unlike our welfare system too. There are bad apples amongst them as well but I have never seen such selfless people in my lifetime and I highly respect them for that.
-
LOL most probably wont believe me but they have no curse words that they recognize in there religion. I have heard some choice words but they wont use them unless they are comfortable around you. Just because they have different religious beliefs they are still human just like you and I. I have had some pretty good laughs at some of the things they say and some pretty good shocks too.

This is absolutely false. I am very close friends with several amish families and one I work with every day. There is a big misunderstanding between what the "english" people think and the reality of the regulations and taxes. I hear it all the time Amish dont pay taxes, amish dont need building permits. Indeed they pay the same taxes we do minus one thing, school tax and that is it. As far as building permits they have to apply to the same regulations as we do. The metal shop I weld at just about every day is an amish run business. Currently there is an addition going on there house, the inspector has been there every step of the way and his permit was applied and approved as well. In this county however if it is an ag building there is no permit required whether your amish or english. Now if its your land and your camp its also your responsibility to get the permit if you hire the amish to build it. Your hiring a builder not a contractor to do all the leg work for you. If you hire them tell them you want a solid structure that will last forever and unless you got a shabby amish guy he will do as you ask. Amish are like us in the respect that there are good apples and then there are bad apples. Just like hiring and english builder go look at there work first, just dont go by pricing alone.
