imagine the mainenance........ its a pain right in the butt on the elk farm checking fences all the time for tree damage, etc on a few hundred acres. to do that on thousands of acres..............
i think it very interesting. not knowing much about trapping, i hope this thread keeps going. i would someday like to try it, but my right hand tells me no, please no. i have some good area for trapping mink, muskrat, beaver, etc etc etc. believe you have to take a course, right?
oh god, countless scoops. Had my jiffy auger freeze into the ice, that wasnt fun. never lost a pole, but lost a reel, lol. Buckets blowing away, and saying, im not chasing them, f that. Oh, good times, good times.
ok, i have 5 different cornfields i hunt. one is still standing. 4 were picked and cut, with a few straggle stalks and cobs here and there. where do i stand? season is over up here, but it would still be good to know.
i ice fish sandy pond as well. i go in at the elms. i hit south sandy for crappy as well. no, i dont pay the golf course to park, i have a friend that lets me park at his place. maybe ill see you out there sometime. look for a xmas tree stuck in the ice. thats our marker. i am a meat fisher too. lol.
