How to take care of a Tresspasser ........
tughillhunter replied to fasteddie's topic in General Chit Chat
ha! reminds me f when i was working up to fort drum. one of the guys wouldnt stop parking next to the crane, so we set his car on a snow bank with the lull. ill have to find that pic. classic shenanigans -
id rip it down, and happily return it in pieces. thats just me though.
-
snowblower broke . Had to fix it. blew auger all apart. kids used all my gas up. Got it up and running to just run outta gas. God i hate the first snowfall up here.
-
only dmp's can be transferred.
-
i always ask myself that too....... got about the same here. ill have the snowblower bellering today. gotta get the woodstove blazing in the garage first and foremost tho. get the snowshoes out.

exactly. one deer is not worth your family struggling the rest of their life, and losing ur own.

Hunter/Game Warden relationships

always a good experience here -
depends on the tree as well. hemlock, locust, poplar, cherry, maple, ash....... no matter how big, and how whatever, they still break in the wind. See it every day. safer on the ground. not every tree will fall, but you never know if the one you are in will fall.

Frequently Asked Questions About Hunting Below are answers to a number of questions frequently asked by New York hunters. Use the links in the right margin to jump to specific topics. Accompanying Q: Can I take my young child (or an unlicensed person) with me while I am deer hunting? A: Yes, and we highly recommend it! Just make sure the child (or unlicensed person) is not hunting or assisting in any aspect of the hunt (like driving deer). Bring an extra pair of binoculars and plenty of snacks. Have a good time! Q: Can my son or daughter hunt small game while I hunt deer? A: Yes, but your son or daughter must have a Junior Hunting license and cannot actively participate in the big game hunt (including driving deer). Q: Can I participate in someone else's hunt after I have filled all of my deer tags? A: Yes. A licensed hunter who has filled his or her tags may continue to participate in the hunt, including driving of deer, but may not attempt to shoot a deer.

no. they cannot. if licensed, and tags filled, then yes, but un licensed, no. think you should read regulations. read the first highlighted Q. 2012 Gun Hunting Harvest Thread
tughillhunter replied to WNYBuckHunter's topic in Rifle and Gun Hunting
Well, I hung that new stand I posted earlier in the week. Sat that evening, and had the spike, he got spooked off. Next morning, saw a nasty 8 point not 15 yards from my stand, followed by a 3 point, then a 4 point(ironically) then a doe. Last night.......... frigging crazy. road hunters everywhere, people partying in a house that we lease out, and the cows got loose so everybody was running trucks and fourwheelers and just being crazy. I was pissed. my girlfriend told me to slide out, and go to one my other spots, but by the time i got out of there and drove to my closest spot it would have been dark. So i waited it out....... At 5:00, i hear BOOM! To close to comfort. Hear a diesel truck start and a wooooohoooo, truck take off, then another shot. I ran out of the stand, saw the truck, but couldnt get anything but red truck diesel. I was pissed right off, and sat at the general area I heard the shot, and no one came around. Anything that close, was our land. Not happy. So, decided to take a morning off, hang with the kids, family, do a few chores. Have thanksgiving dinner, and sit at that stand just because I had a feeling it would be alot more quite. (Thanksgiving is a free meal for the worthless roadhunters) So, at 3:35, I was at thet stand. Walking in, Im hearing dogs barking, people hooting and hollering, and im saying wtf, and other colorful words....., but decide to get in there, and wait it out. At 415, I hear some brushing, then Spike shows up. He got spooked, ran back in the swamp, and 3 doe walk out where he ran in. I took the biggest of the 3, at a meer 286 yards. All tags filled but muzzleloader. Good day for me. Oh yeah, it was over a one mile drag, then a half hour ride back home. She scaled out at 132 lbs dressed. What a fat ass. -

i take my youngsters as much as i can, and others as well. its an awesome experience, and i love every second of it. -
less than 3 inches you can use a dmp.Note: Deer Management Permits (DMPs) and Deer Management Assistance Program (DMAP) permits are for antlerless deer. Bucks with antlers less than 3 inches long are not considered legally antlered deer and may be taken using a DMP or DMAP permit. Additionally, Bonus DMPs are valid for antlered or antlerless deer. Adult deer are ≥1.5 years old. Fawn deer are <1 year old

After I took the rug rats to school this morning, I decided to hang the new stand I got at a little spot I havent hunted in quite some time. Sat in it tonight, and within 15 minutes a spike came out, I took a picture thru my binos, but, I think it may be a good spot. Was in the past. All i have is a doe tag left, and muzzleloader, so we will see what happens.
