    tomorrow im taking my buddies boy out for the youth hunt. got a nice ll blind set on a ridge over a clover field.(yup, food plot, startin him young) Should be pretty fun. hope to get him one. Let him use my rem 760 30.06. he seems to like it and hes had a week of hard practice, in all aspects of shooting, primarily safety. hes got a good head on his shoulders and im looking forward to it.

    i like mornings, but shot majority of deer in pm sits. only a few in the a.m.

    fat? no. lazy? far from it, work 72 hours a week and do side work, and take care of my food plot. sounds like you were picked on a lot as kid and deprived as a child with that come back. therefore, you really are dumb. i will agree wth the a$$hole part though.

    ok.... so when everyone pants a veg garden, is that baiting?(deer molest them) i have friends that have food plots just to photograph deer and other wildlife, they have never shot a gun in their life....or hunted...... is that illegal? Nope. sure isnt. Is my 5 acres of soybeans, brassica, clover, chicory, and an abundance of apple trees illegal? nope. its been there and replanted just like any other crop over the last 12 years or so. find something else to cry about.

    im doing it. my frriends 14 yr old on asked me. i just posted that. dads over seas,(deployment) so i was the man to go to. im excited. i thin it will be fun.

    got a phonecall tonight from my buddies wife. their 14 year ld son asked me to be his mentor on the youth hunt this year. i was very flattered and frankly ecstatic to be asked that. Maybe some kids arent as techy as i thought, but then again..... we will see if he follows directions, safety, and has positive attitude.

    I agree with others. id move that stand to an exit, entry way. next time you go back there, put your safety specs on! Thorns in the eye hurt like hell.

    if you are new to hunting, you obviously have alot to learn. You cant just go thru an abandoned junkyard and find a random tree to hang a stand in. Take some time time, learn the ropes, and go from there. Did you take a hunter safety course? Dont sound like it.

    I live a stones throw away from redfield. I see alot of big bucks her in 6k, 7 pts 8p ts and i shot a bruiser 10 point 2 years ago (3rd day mz ill never forget it)
