  1. I dont have cable, butcaught a commercial of the 50 cal they had. those are nasty. my buddy has one, turns cinder blocks to powder at 500 yards. they shoot dead accurate at a mile and a half. thats what i wanna see.
  2. i dont bow hunt, but i have respect for those who do. the reason i dont is simply because i havent taken a bow course yet.
  3. im sure he will have another argue to that.
  4. im not in that area, but it mainly goes by the type of stone, and cost per load. up here, crusher run is about 250 a ten wheel load. call some local excavation/gravel companies and get some prices. or, when they tear the asphalt up from the roads in the spring to redo the roads, that makes excellent driveway material, and the county/state will gladly give it away generally.
  5. grizz, i agree with you totally 100%.
  6. im going to be using one next year to try it out.
  7. Its neverending. I should switch to burning wood instead of fuel oil. endless supply of wood.
  8. i wouldnt have it in me to shoot her knowing shell walk up to u and lick your face. check the fb page. belladeer, pulaski ny.
  9. I used 4 telephone poles, and framed out the rest. Used old barnboard for the siding. Lean to style. 9' in the rear, 7' in the front. The dimensions are 8'x9'. I used some old driving range carpeting for sound reduction to move around in it. I'll try to get some pics up. I pre built the walls in the garage. 1 inch pine for the sub floor, plexiglass windows.
  10. Its agriculture. plain and simple. Some people raise angus cows, some people raise dairy cattle. Some people have horses, some people have sheep. Some people have elk, some people have red stags. Its business. As far as food, what about the deer that hang out on the farms? Corn, soy beans, alfalfa, hay fields. Not much of a difference. Im a supporter of nysdefa. Think its a great thing.
  11. Im sure there may be some restitution. Similar to a grand larceny or criminal mischief case perhaps, which is sorta the crime at hand.
  12. I believe its the same, but you may want to check the dec website. I dont have a bow license, so i really cant answer that question.
  13. good luck! Hope you win at the peek a boo game.
  14. I have the addiction too. Thats why I take voluntary lay-off in mid oct, early november.
  15. Im a hardcore ice fisherman. I can sit out there all day, in a shanty or not.(shanty is better though, lol). Seems like years prior there were people out there already about this time. As a matter of fact, dec 20th last year i got this pic... I just hope it starts freezing on the old sandy pond here soon.
  16. I agree with you. And to be honest, they are still wild by nature. And it is simply livestock. My gf's family have an elk farm. One of the elk will come up to you and you can pet it, but once her calf is born in the spring, look out, she will take you out. But i agree with you, being around a few farms in my day. I would like my own someday myself.
  17. I have never done any predator hunting. I would like to though, especially since im laid off most of the winter. I have a 220 swift. Think thats a good weapon of choice?
