thats because the sun thermals start to push the cold air down when the sun comes up....some stuff like that...Half hour before civil twilight...I too enjoy the darkness of the morning. Why is it though that I get coldest when the sun stars to come up? Just when I feel those first rays, I always start to shiver and feel cold when I was feeling nice and warm in the dark?

First time seeing deer this year. Saw 6 total, drew back on a 5 pt, stopped him too soon, had branches in my sights, then busted! Oh well. Keep on trucking!

Chillin in 7F...cloudy breezy comfy...had to readjust my ladder stand...winds have been shifting it quite a bit... I'm pretty sure I was loud as hell tightening ratchet straps...

Got Monday off, broadheads are on point! I'll be hunting behind my house on opening day from early am until about 4pm...then I have to go to kids hockey practice, if it wasn't the first day of hockey I would skip it.

I hunt on private land. Opening weekend there were five of us. We were all at least 150-200 yds away from each other and we all know where the other is sitting so we limit our range of fire so as not to include any of the directions where the others are sitting.
That's exactly how we do it.
