  1. That's awesome. Not too often do you hear of a snowflake in the woods... Lol. Had to ! Serious though, that's super cool Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  2. Did some slow drives yesterday in the deep stuff. Man, I'm not as young as I used to be !! Was able to get my mentoree a deer though. He's been after em all year and hasn't scored. He's a nice kid and very eager to learn. I was real happy for him. His first muzzy kill too! I'll be after a big fatty tonight and prob hunt hard till Tues. Haven't done a morning sit since early gun. Gonna finish off Tues at the farm with dad. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  3. VOTE... That's it. Can't kill deer on the couch and can't change NY by sitting back and hoping. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  4. I got some dirt out there I hunt and always try and hit it hard prior to that weekend. Alot of Yotes get educated and makes the rest of the season less active. Down there, your call can travel miles and these dogs get smart real quick. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  5. Sparky the electrician says, when it comes to electrical connections, tight isn't tight enough.... Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  6. Fantastic score. Late season bucks are always trophys !!! Congrats on the first of many notches on your smoke pole !! Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  7. I hear alot of good things about vortex I have a "hog hunter" on my coyote rig. I've only shot under 500 and not sure what you intend to shoot distance wise. It's made me more than happy. I'm not an optics brat but my 50mil Nikon prostaff 5 can't compare at low light to the vortex. Great glass that isn't crazy expensive. I would have absolutely jumped on a nightforce but couldn't justify the cost. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  8. How do they survive that.... Crazy to think Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  9. Just got the email..... The shockwave is headed home ! Just. In. Time. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  10. All it takes is one successful hunt. Deer is awesome, big game, super smart but it's a sit and wait game (typically). Coyotes are predators. Called in, and a few vocalisations at night can really get your adrenaline going. Then eyes in the lights, then the shot.... Tons of fun. I don't get "buck fever" but I can tell you I get a bit jittery once I know some dogs are coming in. I'm not saying it's worth time away from family but what I do is the kids are in bed by 8pm and I'll hit the road at 9-10 or so. Everybody is sleeping and I'm out giving dirt naps. 11. Well, that's what I started out with. Even fought my dad so I could use 3" mags. I remember him giving me the Cuomo quote " you don't need 3" mags to kill a deer". Eh, I did it my entire career.... Teach them basic firearm skills, point of aim, target acquisition, sight alignment / sight picture and they only need one shot. Granted, practice can be a bit rough on the shoulder ! If you can teach a kid to not flinch with a 3" mag they will prob never flinch whatever they shoot ! Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  12. Just going off the original photo, and head size, I'd assume it's 3.5. I have seen local deer (farm) that were 150-60 at 2.5 Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  13. Karma has a way of rewarding those who keep their priority's in order..... Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  14. And that red leads toooooooo ????? Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  15. IP in the woods often, and I think it's kinda weird you would track me by my p.... guess we all have our own ways.... Oh,and I don't work,I just sit on my property(s) all day everyday. Hehehehe Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  16. In the office for a couple hours. Will get out for the PM hunt and have all Fri sat sun to do some doe patrol... Oddly enough, it's been 2 seasons since I got a slick head. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  17. I didn't deny it, though Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  18. I've heard good things for the cost. Downside is unless you have a nightvision scope your still gonna have to turn the lights on... Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  19. We don't see them cause we don't have high enough fences ! Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  20. Ugh. Your past that dreadful 1hr mark... Or id come and see if we can't prove you wrong ! Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  21. +2 for predator camo Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  22. Or where he asks if it's a big buck or not... BRO, he's claiming to be hathcock with a scope yet you couldn't tell if it was a big buck or not.... ??? Idk, I hate to judge cause we all get a bit stupid when the adrenaline's pumping, but come on man. Goobs are easy to spot Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  23. Nightvision is just ok in my book. The way to go is thermal, but it's dang expensive. I can't justify it for the money though. Night vision is alot less but no where near as effective as thermal and it's expensive too. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  24. I never post trail cam pics, or share unless the deer is dead. Alot of people know my spots and I'd rather not encourage poaching on my spots. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  25. Oh where to start on that video.... Lol. Def weird to have the velvet ! I was under the impression it was illegal to use walkie talkies to "aid" in hunting. And yes BRO, we can see your nasty with a scope. Takes a solid shooter to send 3 rounds through trees at 60 ( or 80) yards. I agree, he's a GOOBER Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
