    Man, u guys are gonna hate me....I have a xbow, I spot light all the time, and my mom thinks I'm special ! But, I'm only a 1/3 of the hunter that guy is....( get it !hehehe ) From here on out, I'll understand if I get alot less "likes".

    Not sure of model but it's a tru fire that folds and locks back. Love it. Never in the way also has buckle vs Velcro so on and off are quick and quiet.

    Step one for me is comfort. A stand with armrests and a slumper seat is a must. Little bit of phone, lots of looking around and enjoying the view. Also, keagels are great for getting a bit of exercise without movement....

    9f update. 2.5 8pt has had a doe locked down since daylight in a 1/4acre piece. My dad has been patiently waiting for them to come his way. Last sighted 10min ago, still has her locked up and has chased smaller bucks off all day. I'm less than a half mile away in a natural funnel down wind of bedding. Haven't seen a deer all day....

    #1 is a phenomenal example of great genes. That dude will be a stud. Looks barely 2.5. If you could let him get 4 or 5....wow.

    Sometimes I feel some dogs that are young in their tracking career end up getting confused on the hunters scent than the deer, or maybe it's the blood on your boots etc. Had an experience where I tracked a doe (at my old place) and had decided to back out and call the dog. Dog ended up following my path back to the house where I turned back. I got on all fours and was able to find more blood. Deer took a right where I took a left. Long story short dog was off its game because I did that 2 more times on a 400yrd track and ended up finding her. 1 lung btw. So papist, as we all are agreeing on, it happens and your doing the deer justice. Have fun in the roseys and I hope you see that belly !!!!

    Tell your buddy I like his style ! Can u imagine if we all did that.... Wish there was a " bad Genetics " rule for those that love meat, and guys like me and him filling treestands. Ah well, argument for another day

    9f. Lots of scrapes. No real action yet. I guessed wrong taking this week off ! Supposed to be 70, don't think that will help. I think it will be getting real good middle of next week on, or possibly even week after. Just hoping we don't have a goofy rut like last year. 9m. Same, slow. Does move morn and Eve more than usual last week but no boys tagging along.

    Just remember how harsh you guys are on the situation. Someday it will be you, just finishing your hot apple cider and taco lunch when nature calls ( or yells ) and there's a line for the men's room... I'm sure you will be a natural at saying exsssuse me with lisp and run to the ladies room. Not all these rediculous ideals are bad !

    Right time right scent, it works. It depends on the class buck your after. The young 1-2yr olds are easy to fool with the scents but the 3 and up seem to know what's up, but during the heat of the rut if a mature buck is moving on to find a new hot doe, you may catch him off guard and have him follow your trail.
