  1. Will be at camp this Sunday. Lmk if you would like to see property.
  2. FYI. I do favor the members here, for what it's worth, so I'll be holding off on any Craigslist or other public listings for a week or so...but we are hoping to move along quickly
  3. Couple facts. In late 90's my father listed property for sale just to see if there was interest and find a market value, so he listed property for 29k. Within a week he had a full asking offer, but didn't actually want to sell. He ended up paying the Realtors commission due to the full asking offer. Around the same time he had some bids to have timber cut. Average was around 7k. Again, just getting an idea on pricing, never had it logged. The entire property (besides the driveway) is woods. We have decided to not list with an agent and would prefer to stay away from them. We are asking $38,500. I'll get down there by this weekend to snap some pics. Taxes are >$800.00 I will be able to do private showings as needed, unfortunately we are going to keep address off the web as its a private road and it's the last driveway. Close to triple R campgrounds / Bryant hill / tug hill Rd / Boyce hill state forest. If you get on the map you will have an idea. I am going to give those that pm'd me, in order, the opportunity to respond. Any other questions I'm here. As far as pics, its all woods so I can't imagine that " land" pics will help but the camp/shooting trailer/ driveway will be up soon.
  4. Neighbors couldn't put together the funds, so the property is available. I'll be getting pics and more details up ASAP. I have a number of pm's and will keep the order as received.
  5. I was able to take a few crows myself. But I prob only shot >20 shells
  6. Got a final hail Mary hunt in the other day. Had to make it quick. No song dogs but I did have a massive redtail swoop at the FoxPro.... Slowest year ever for me. Next year will be different, I hope
  7. I'm holding off on all details till the neighbors decide. Should be by may 1 if not sooner. I just wanted to see if there was interest now in the event they don't buy it. I apologize if I've frustrated anybody.
  8. Property has been in the family for 50+. Due to some other investment opportunities we are selling the camp. We have given our long time neighbors first option, but I'm hoping to see if there is other interest here in case that falls through. I'd prefer to sell vs listing with an agent. Details: Private road, last property on road, maintained year round. Has 40something' trailer on site, not a luxury camp but will keep you warm and dry ( propane heater and stove ) Shooting trailer and pistol range ( plate steel ) The property is not all flat, about 1/3 is hill, but it creates a natural funnel. Borders a 970+ acre state land Electric available at road. I will give more details once the neighbors decide, but if it's something you might want to consider, post or PM me. If your wondering about game.... I have #4 above 120" being mounted now, on top of countless Doe, bunch of turkeys, there are always bear spottings, grouse, squirrels etc. The best parts of the place is that it's a natural funnel with great wind options. And once the state land gets pushed they come right over and hang. If I'd have invested more time in plots and trails id have more than 4 slobs on the wall, that's for sure
  9. OK. Since we are going big, if I could really have a dream come true it would be to push that big red button on an A10 warthog...and listen to that sweet music of the gau-8 spin off 30mm's. Ive been in earshot once, and it's absolutely breathtaking. I will have to find a YouTube link for those who know not of the greatness I speak of. Brrrrrrrrrrrt And this one for a giggle
  10. So u can check the target for me ? It's good for a mile or two shots.... Lol
  11. Soon. Haven't had time for a nice photo shoot
  12. Don't get me wrong, I admire the classics for sure, but I ha e my grandfathers rem 700 in 6mm to satisfy those needs. I hate to break the mold here but I've been very fond of the Barret 50. It's my dream because I doubt I'll ever have the scratch to blow on something I won't use much, other than bragging rights. Plus I believe shells are 5$/ ea, so it's a habit I wouldn't be able to support for many reasons ! But since I'm not alone why don't we all pitch in on one !? We can just keep it at my house.
  13. EDIT: can't wait for that firat long beard to eat a 3.5" !
  14. So after a long wait, I finally pulled the trigger on a Remington versamax. Ended up finding a real nice used one at cabelas. 10% off all used guns, a couple a gift cards and it was mine. Came with everything from the original cardboard box, Remington hard case, 5 choke tubes ( versamax has different threads than anything else ), 6 different front FI sights, 3 cheek welds, buttstock extension.....etc. Had a strong itch to cycle some rounds through it so instead of patterning it first I grabbed the foxpro and headed to the field for some crows. After a long and patient wait I had two fly over and was able to get a shot at one.... One shot, one Dead crow. Was a great way to start a new relationship ! Shot a bunch more for fun at random things and was beyond surprised at the minimal recoil. Can't wait to start killing some clay !
  15. There were 3 bystanders. No one hit with anything. Still haven't found all the missing pieces though. It was the first shot of a supposed to be all morning shoot, needless to say the shoot did not last very long
  16. Had a friend do some damage to his brand new s&w .44mag. Apparently he used a hot powder and did not accommodate weight accordingly. Nobody injured thankfully !
  17. Went to franklinville last night. Did 4 sets. Nada. Had one dog answer a howl at dusk but never came in. Unfortunately I went with some buddies who are not very still and don't practice good scent control.... Needless to say, tons of tracks which all seemed to be following deer tracks.
  18. I spotted one in catt county of RT 219 three years ago, then at our camp this past gun season I watched one for hours across the valley. Absolutely stunning birds... Great to see and I hope they continue to multiply !
  19. This is all really good stuff. My kind of " conservation ". Keep it coming and great work.
  20. So, do you have a healthy pack of yotes or do I see some coywolfs !?!! I've seen big yotes but every single one of them looks huge. Comparing to the carcass.... Am I alone ?
