No jokes, i use the wifes unscented tampons... work like a charm ! I just tie a piece of twine on it. Then it makes for a great scent wick.... only issue i see is they are pretty absorbent. Ok, TMI.

Live from the truck... boston to gowonda spotted nothing (7:00), on the way back @ 830, every field seemed to have piles of deer... so that tells me that my area seems to have gone nocturnal, looks like ill be relying on the drives sat to move the deer my way... and man do i need a new spotlight!

If they were free, shoot em. But ive tried a bunch of rifled slugs over the years, sluggers arent "amazing" or ingenious. They are cheap and consistent. Just pick up a box and shoot them when ur sighting in, they may shoot different than the blueballs...i mean the tru balls;). And u can have the barrel drilled for a scope mount. Seen it plenty of times

Thats pretty much it.... never enough time!!! This will be my last night sit with the bow ( unless the boss gives me a day) and with some of the biggest bucks on camera i really feel behind the ball this year ! Not to much pressure around my area for gun season but not having to many encounters with the big boys makes me feel they may have found other turf to stomp. I usually have alot more time in the woods and im not happy about it. I know its far from over and my land becomes a safe haven by muzzle....just too damn long to wait!! Movingmy stand a bit tonight when i get out in hopes for some crazy rut activity sat... good luck to all those that can hunt this week in SZ!!

Its my pleasure! I never wanted to push my ethics, just info ive picked up. Trust me, only shooting mature deer can be veeeeeery stressful but i feel it always pays off. Its your call, but you cant get the bigguns if u only shoot the little ones. I dont want to sound like ive been hunting for a hundred years, but i have always tried to gain knowledge every year im in the woods.
