Hello NY Hunters, I will be hunting NY state for the first time very soon. I thought that instead of just reading all of your very helpful posts I'd join the forum and participate. If my research so far is any inclination I'll be hunting in the state for some time to come. I am from VT, that's the reference to the green license plate.... I hunt all of my state's seasons and enjoy turkey, waterfowl, grouse, and whitetail with archery rifle and muzzle loader. I will be hunting NY to extend my hunting opportunities and calendar. I have listened to far too many accounts of positive hunting experiences, both in the field and in the communities, in NY from my friends over the years to not finally give this a try. I have compiled everything I can from those stories, the NY Environmental Conservation website and some calls to the ECOs where I'd like to hunt. So without further to do, I am off to read what you all have had to say. Thanks for the help in advance. Eric
