  1. Just an idea, bot go on Ebay and buy a junk broken camera. Drill a small hole through it and screw it to a tree and make sure it is visible to trespassers. Then hide a working camera to watch the decoy camera. Turn off all flashes and anything else that may give away the working camera.

  2. So sorry for your loss. I've lost one dog when I was in my 20's. Brandy lived with my parents until she was 14. She had a major tumor and would not have survived surgery. She suffered for a few weeks until we had no choice. I moved out a few years before and it did not faze me too much. But my present pooch Milo is like my third child. He's only 3 but I can't imagine having to put him down when his time comes. I tell my wife that the best thing to do is get another. She refuses. We shall see. Until then..... I'll enjoy Milo's company for as many years as I he gives us.

It is very tough to say goodbye. I think that is the reason I always keep two dogs now. Yes, they keep each other company but it helps avoid the empty house syndrome when one of them goes. They are the greatest pets.

  3. Ok so I'll admit I've never used a harness...used my climber all last season without one my dad never used one my uncle doesn't and fell and had to crawl back to truck with broken knee...so now I look at it as I have kids one who will be hunting with me this year a little and more as time goes on...now I am looking for a cheap but effective harness to use for myself and how to use it up a climber...ladders and hang on I understand but a climber is new as only had last year...also any recommendations on kids harnesses (price not a factor on this) I want best and comfortable for him.

Don't let cost be an option, get a good harness. I am sure your Uncle's medical bills, lost wages and pain & suffering were a lot more than what a good harness will run you.

  4. Agreed, but this case is NOT an issue of gun control. This was an attack on Christians as a result the presidents anti-christian retoric.

We already have gun control and the government's control over our guns needs to end. The reality is the nation needs to eliminate the "sitting duck" zones aka "gun free zones". All these do is force honest citizens to open themselves up to harm.

The discussion that should be going on here is why our carry permits do not have national reciprocity like our drivers license do, and why most people are banned from having them.

I have to say there are some strange coincidences here as far as the place of attack. The killer went awfully far out of his way to commit jihad against Christians. It seems that the one of the heroes who stocked the Paris train attack recently is from that town and should have been at THAT college on that day.

  5. Oregon passed an anti-gun law (SB941) not too long ago that contained the language:

I guess the shooter didn't read the law.

    New Mental Health Disqualification

    1. Under ORS 426.133, a court that orders outpatient treatment may prohibit a person from purchasing or possessing a firearm during the period of assisted outpatient treatment if in the opinion of the court, there is a reasonable likelihood the person would constitute a danger to self or others or to the community as a result of the person’s mental or psychological state demonstrated by either past behavior or involvement in unlawful

violence or threats of violence, or by reason of a single incident of extreme, violent, unlawful conduct.

    2. The court that orders outpatient treatment and prohibits a person from purchasing or possessing a firearm during the period of assisted outpatient treatment shall deliver a copy of the order to the county sheriff, who shall enter the information into LEDS.

    3. Individuals subject to these orders will be included in the FBI NICS Index under ORS 181.740.

    4. Important note: Relief from prohibition for mental health reasons must be obtained through the Psychiatric Security Review Board (PSRB) under ORS 166.274 in order to regain rights at both the state and federal levels.

  6. Woofer, Ben Carson is the brilliant black man who used to be a brain surgeon, and he's a Republican.  You're thinking of Bernie Sanders.

Yes, you are correct. I had that wack job Sanders on my mind and wrote too quickly. I know of Carson and yes he would be an excellent president. Any outsider would be great, Trump too. Cruz is the one exception to the outsider rule. He would be great too.

  7. One of the "miracles" of US economic policies. (A K A trickle down" economics)

I'll let you in on a little secret. All children in every country are below the poverty level. They have no jobs, no homes, no incomes and no assets. Unless you count their toys. The graph above is what we call junk statistics. It is right up with the stats on how many kids go to bed hungry. Another junk statistic, since the obesity rate in this country is higher than its ever been. And anyone who is overweight can tell you, they are always hungry.
