  1. Claude, I realize time is pretty short but check out the list of woodlots available for lease on our website www.cottonhanlon.com If something catches your eye I can send you some maps and let you wander around out there before you sign a lease. If you are thinking for next year make sure to check on website on March 1, 2016 as this is when we come out with the new list of woodlot for the year and there will be some different choices at that point. Bob
  2. Sorry we never bought land out on the east side of the State. Maybe you can move over this way??
  3. If you are looking for a hunting lease you are in luck. Cotton-Hanlon will be posting our list of available woodlots on March 2, 2015 (next Monday) at 7:30 AM. It's first come first served so make sure to check out our website www.cottonhanlon.com that morning. Looks like we are going to have two to three dozen woodlots open for lease on the list this year. All of the parcels will be in NY in the following counties: Chemung, Cortland, Oswego, Schuyler, Steuben, Tioga and Tompkins. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to shoot me an email. [email protected] Bob Chief Forester Cotton-Hanlon, Inc
  4. Sorry to hear your group lost some members. Maybe what we can do is find you a smaller woodlot that the remaining gang can lease that would fit in the budget. Give me a call/email. Bob
  5. Our lease prices are DIRECTLY tied to what we are paying in property taxes (the highest in the country), and from the looks of it New York State is trying to force everyone to leave the state. Yes it's true that at the end of the 3 year term your lease fee is probably going to go up but that is just because we are trying to keep pace with the property tax increases we have experienced over that time. I guess leasing isn't for everyone, but we have hundreds of happy groups that have been leasing from us for years and years. If you have any questions about a new potential lease or you want to discuss your current lease give me a call or email. Bob
  6. Check out our website for the list of woodlots that are available for lease. It's not too late to find your perfect hunting spot before bow season starts. http://cottonhanlon.com/leasing.html If you see something on that list that catches your eye, shoot me an email and I can send you some maps so you can go out there wander around. If you like it we'll draw up the lease and you'll be all set. Any questions don't hesitate to give me a call/email (contact info is on website). Bob
  7. The list of available hunting leases (on woodlots owned by Cotton-Hanlon) will be posted Monday morning (March 3rd) at 7:30 AM. I'm putting the final touches on the list right now but here's a quick preview: We'll have leases available in the following counties: Cayuga, Chemung, Cortland, Oswego, Schuyler, Tioga, Tompkins. The is one woodlot that has a CABIN on it that is open for lease. The cabin will need to be purchased from the prior lessee and then you would sign a lease for the woodlot with C-H. This is a unique opportunity to get a great area to hunt and a move in condition hunting cabin. Can't tell you any more right now but if you are interested make sure to check out our website right at 7:30 AM because things go fast. How it works is the website will have a list that includes town, county, number of acres, cost, and an aerial photo, if something catches your eye shoot me an email and if you are the first one I'll email you maps of that lease and give you two weeks to go out there wander around and check it out. If you like it we'll draw up a lease at that point. Bob O'Brien http://cottonhanlon.com/leasing.html
  8. CulverCreek, Thanks for the kind words. Yes I think this is the start of your 7th year, time flies. The very first group we ever leased land to was back in the Fall of 1970 and that same group is still leasing that woodlot. We really try to build long term relationships with our lease groups. Bob
  9. Biz-R, Sorry but that is too far to the east for us, our woodlots are in Central NY. Bob
