  1. Are you planning on canning the pickled sausage? I've pickled plenty of sausage and it just gets put in the vinegar brine after being fully cooked. There's more to it than just that but I've never canned it. All of the commercial stuff is just put in a brine and it lasts for a long time. As far as a pressure canner goes, it depends on what you consider "breaking the bank". The only choice in my eyes is the All American. Their biggest seller is the 21 quart which I own and love. You can buy them all day long on the internet for 200.00. Go to ebay and they have every size there is and you might get a deal. It's where I bought mine.

  2. Here is there reply from their Facebook page when I posted a comment about it.

There is not a recall on TenPoint or Wicked Ridge. We are holding the sale of bows while we investigate an isolated incident. We will have more information early this week"

Keep us posted if you see any info. Thanks

    • I can't even remember how many times I've called about a road killed/wounded deer and most of the time they take my word for it and let me take it. Other times they will show up and give a tag for it. Plus, I almost always call the sheriff

  3. It's nice to see 100% agreement here, that this is BS. The kid made it out of the store and could of kept going, but no, he went in and did what anyone SHOULD have done, with the exception that I wish he had shot and killed the robber. If you haven't already done so, check out my link above and go to Facebook where it has gone viral in support of Devin

  4. Skinning a bear as soon as possible and cooling the meat fast is imperative for good tasting bear. I like it as good as venison any day. My youngest daughter will tell you that bear is her favorite meat

  5. 100% public land, fair chase. There were literally thousands of gators with many many 10 footers and bigger. I didn't clarify well about hunting with relatives. My relatives live right there so it was very convenient in many aspects including having a place to stay and them having the boats. I must add, my relation had never hunted gator before our '07 hunt. We learned fast and everyone tagged out easily. Now they hunt every year with tremendous success. Phase I of the gator hunting application is May 2-16. So you still have time. http://myfwc.com/license/limited-entry-hunts/general-info/alligator-hunt-permit/
