  1. Hey, who needs more than 10 rounds right? This woman emptied a .38 revolver into this man's face, neck, and shoulders and he DROVE AWAY. Remember that the next time someone says "Why does anyone need x amount of bullets?"
  2. I just anglicized it to be socially accepted. And no, those are not hubcaps in my backpack.
  3. Has anyone given thought to what a clusterf**k an NICS check for ammo purchases will be? I have an incredibly common hispanic name IRL. I don't think you wanna be on line behind me to buy ammo is all I'm sayin'.
  4. The NICS for ammo has been up for a while. It was pre-introduced last session for the beginning of this session. On one of these threads is a link to current NY State pending legislation. Lots of good stuff up, like NICS checks for ammo, regulating the number of rounds you can buy per month. I think I even saw one about brass being serialized and made unlawful to reload. Yup. The Empire State. Galactic Empire, amirite?
  5. I'm not sure of what you're asking. If you're worried about someone finding the files because of wifi, so long as you follow a decent security protocol you're fine.
  6. It will eventually be shot down by a federal court somewhere, but it's a good first step. The Wyoming State Legislature has introduced legislation to get ahead of the Federal push for more firearm restrictions. The bill exempts all firearms made in compliance with the Wyoming Firearm Freedom Act from any federal laws passed after January 1, 2013. Furthermore, it makes ANY FEDERAL AGENT attempting to enforce such laws guilty of a felony, making them subject to a minimum of 1 year and one day in prison (just enough to make them federally prohibited persons, ironic huh? funny too, imho) and a maximum of 5 years, plus a $5,000 fine. Hopefully more and more states do this. http://legisweb.state.wy.us/2013/Introduced/HB0104.pdf
  7. This is why they won't call for a Constitutional Convention. Given the the current legal atmosphere after Heller, MacDonald and Moore, and considering we have the most liberal (in the dictionary, not political aspersion sense) gun laws in modern times, a Constitutional Amendment would go counter to what the grabbers are after. It would in fact strengthen the Second Amendment, with a rewrite in modern language declaring the right to arms unequivocally sacrosanct. The Militia clause might even be stricken from the Amendment itself. Work local. Convince the people you know guns are not evil. They are inanimate objects incapable of any malfeasance without a human operator. Write your town, municipal, county and State legislators. Write to your Representative in the House. I'd say write your Senators, but Schumer and Gillibrand aren't worth 10 lbs of s**t put together. This is a cultural battle first and foremost. Win the culture, which we are in fact doing, you win the battle.
  8. Connecticut Chief Medical Examiner Dr. H. Wayne Carver reports the majoity of victims were shot several times each with a rifle.
  9. Here is an electoral map by county in 2012. Please find me 38 states to ratify a repeal of the 22nd Amendment, considering the infinitesimal possibility it ever makes it out of the House of representatives. I'll just wait over here.....
  10. Elmo hit the nail square on. We are well on our way to tyranny. Once the governing class considers themselves of higher status than the citizens to whom they are accountable, the path is clear.
  11. You get the government you deserve. Same people on this board voted for Obama probably voted for the Democratic State Senator/Assemblyman. Not that a NY Republican is any less liberal. I ain't turning in anything. Period.
  12. The Rogue is overkill for yotes, frankly. .25 Marauder or Air Force Condor would be much more suited. The Rogue is "too much gun" to be honest.
  13. I'd agree with Shawnhu for the most part. I'd definitely say if you want to airgun yotes instead of hurling .223 at 'em, PCP is really your only effective option. I'd go one step further though and say you want .25 or above.
  14. Not going to happen. Even if it were to get out of the House (which it won't) it would have to be ratified by 37 states. I say again, not going to happen. This is bluster. You can't repeal a Constitutional Amendment with a doomed-from-the-word-go bill.
  15. We already live in a quasi-police state post 9/11. It's not too far a jump from where we are to martial law.
  16. I keep seeing this 90k/annum figure bandied about. Do you know where it comes from? My research shows an average of around 40k/annum to house an inmate in NYS. That's not chump change, but it's a far cry from 90k.
  17. Fortunately I just sold all my guns to a very nice guy. 6', 180 lbs, brown hair. Said his name was Bill.
  18. ^^ what he said. Plus, if you let out the perpetrators of victimless crimes like possession of arbitrarily unlawful substances, well maybe there would have been room to keep that effin' fruitcake locked away forever like he should have been.
  19. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't tempted to take the one that's local. I'd never do any such thing, but I see him often. I'm a chronic insomniac and I go for drives at night. We have so much wildlife that just cruises the neighborhoods here I usually play "find the critter." It relaxes me to watch 'em for a while and I usually fall right asleep after about 30 minutes or so of critter watchin'. The local red's a fine lookin' specimen, big too. Obviously well fed. Like I said, I never would, but it's nice to dream.
  20. Wish we had coyotes here on the island. We have foxes, but they're always near neighborhoods. Don't think I've ever seen a li'l red in the woods here. I'd love to get a fox pelt.
  21. Happy New Year. Last night was a mix of gunfire and fireworks. The guys in the "economically depressed" neighborhood across the highway were very cheerful last night, let me tell you.
