  1. My Bull Whisper Extreme loves CPHPs, and CPDs. Followed by JSB 15.9s. It lobs the CPxx's at over 800 fps/20fpe consistently. For the price point, I have nothing but praise for the rifle. I just wish they kept the steel breech blocks from the older models. The ABS plastic barrel shroud is a pretty intelligent means of keeping cost down while maintaining integrity of the barrel due to it's high tensile strength, much moreso than the steel barrel itself inside (which is pretty thin). But it just looks cheap. That's really my only complaint, again, considering the pricepoint.
  2. I told this guy to look out, but it went in one ear and out the other...
  3. "Who are the militia? Are they not ourselves? Is it feared, then, that we shall turn our arms each man gainst his own bosom. Congress have no power to disarm the militia. Their swords, and every other terrible implement of the soldier, are the birthright of an American.... [T]he unlimited power of the sword is not in the hands of either the federal or state governments, but, where I trust in God it will ever remain, in the hands of the people." (Tench Coxe, The Pennsylvania Gazette, Feb. 20, 1788.) Any and all laws pertaining to the ownership of firearms are flatly Unconstitutional, and should be stricken from the record.
  4. I apologize if I misunderstood you, sincerely. The range on high end PCP guns varies depending on power setting, bullet weight, and other factors. 100 yd target shooting isn't unheard of. Out of my big bore, a 158 gr .358 moving down range is carrying 210 ish ft-lbf of energy at the muzzle. At 75 yds my ballistic calculator has it still carrying 100 ft-lbf and about 80 at 100 yds. I have it zeroed for 50 yds, because really I just use it to target shoot. And mine is one of the less powerful ones. Guys have taken coyote size game and bigger out past 100 yds with big bore air rifles. One of the bigger issues is susceptibility to wind drift and to some extent accuracy. Hurling lead that size at what are essentially handgun velocities is not overly conducive to long range ballistic stability. Where I live there's really no predators to hunt, but I'd feel comfortable taking yotes with my big bore out to 75 yds. I'm sorry about your cousin, and I'm sorry for misunderstanding your intent.
  5. More people die annually in automobile accidents than are killed with firearms. Maybe we should set up a system where the police buy people's cars to get them out of the wrong hands.
  6. I have an indoor shooting lane for my small caliber airguns GB. I do penetration testing with homemade ballistic gel and chrony testing. The destroyers left me unimpressed is all. Your mileage may vary, you know?
  7. Wow, great deal. Too bad money's a li'l tight (isn't it always around Christmas? ) thanks anyway OP
  8. Good point. I should have stressed that. My only experience with the destroyers in .177 is out of a 1377. I wasn't impressed, but it's also a relatively underpowered pump gun. So, take that for what it's worth.
  9. Here's a video of a 275lb feral hog being taken with a 430 grain .45 hollowpoint out of an air rifle. The exit wound is small, but the hog goes 1 yard if that. Caution, the video is quite graphic, including a slow mo of the pig rolling over on it's side and exsanguinating. The exit wound is essentially a fountain of blood. There's no realistic reason these weapons should not be legal for big game hunting, excepting politics. Already in this thread someone brought up the strawman "OH NOES FELONS WILL BUY THEM" nonsense. Big bore air rifles are expensive, and the support equipment necessary to use them makes them inconvenient at best. Why would a person who is already bent on committing a crime spend thousands of dollars to buy a huge, non-concealable air gun that gets between 2 and 5 shots per charge when he can just spend $500 to buy a stolen hi-point out of tony pepperoni's trunk? That dog don't hunt. Never let logic get in the way of a good appeal to emotion though.
  10. My advice, if you ordered the destroyers, is to cancel the order. The Destroyer EX pellets are horribly inaccurate, and don't transfer energy very well. The Crosman Premier Hollow Points and the domes are the way to go with Crosman pellets. They are the absolute best bang for the buck medium weight hunting pellets I have come across. If you have a higher powered spring or gas piston rifle, you could give the Beeman Kodiak 21.14 grain pellets a go too. Out of my Gamo they're good for about 675 fps and 20 ft-lbf, more than enough for squirrel, rabbit or coon.
  11. Superiority complex really mr. rossi. Also, I laughed pretty good at this one Sogaard
  12. Congrats on the score Elmo, that's a fine looking animal. If you need any recipes, lemme know.
  13. Is that the best you have to offer? Run back to your mom? Or is it because you realize you're supporting a tyrannical enforcement which is outside the spirit of the law, so you are changing the topic. Four year olds are not actually dexterous enough to cast out a pole. They REQUIRE adult help for this. Saying an adult putting a line in the water and handing a pole to a 4 year old equates to the adult fishing is like saying that a person holding a beaker is a chemist. They are simply not correct assessments. But people like you gladly watch as a man is ticketed for something YOU AS A SPORTSMAN should be glad to see, him introducing another generation to the outdoors. But you're so high and mighty because "DA LAW IS DA LAW" herp derp. So you go ahead, you be glad some ******** gave a guy trying to show kids how to fish a ticket. I'll be disgusted, and you'll still be a *****.
  14. Now toddlers (yes, 4 year olds are toddlers) need a license. And you think that's cool? Wow. You're a ****.
  15. If the meat came above 48° for more than 6 hours, it's spoiled.
  16. There are significantly better ones, but I figured you wanted to keep the price low. I say order that one tonight, and he'll be wackin' squirrels by next Wednesday. Don't forget to pick up some ammo.
