Just pee... wont bother the deer any. Have video of a yote peeing dead center of cam then 2 hrs later a buck comes right in eating apples without any care to the yote pee at all.

was out this AM. grabbed the viper SD and headed up the tree. Proceeded to accidently drop my pack. Said forget it for a bit...then the mosquitos started to carry me alive. back down the tree to grab the thermal cell. No action other than a huge black squirrel and heard a turkey. Pulled cams and getting ton of action near the stand. Hope to get at one in a bit. Heading back out in about 1.5 hrs.

Well after morning hunt I grabbed my cam that was about 30 yards from my stand position pointing at one of my apple trees where a few different runways intersect. got 180+ videos in 17 days. mostly doe and young bucks. Seems i have more buck than doe on my property. Only got 2 shooters..one of them would be a mainframe 8 if he didnt have a messed up rack. only a fork side coming almost straight up and then the other side is a solid 4 points. The other is a solid 8. Granted I should give him at least 1 more year but this would be by far the largest buck ive ever shot and if he gives me a shot im taking it.

forgot my range finder. also once i got up to the desired height in my climber i dropped my pack with the thermal cell in it. back down the tree i went to get it.

Lets get something straight. Unless you have a ridiculously long dloop then dloops do not increase draw length. Your anchor point is set by the string. For me I have 2 main points of contact the fob on the corner of my mouth and the string on the tip of my nose. Those two points never change even if you adjust your release dloop etc. However you either they measured you incorrectly or your holding the bow wrong. I slapped myself while getting used to ky new elite due to the skinny grip. Adjusted my grip and good to go now.

Got my fixed heads hitting with my fps. Hitting half dollars at 25 yards. Was hitting softballs at 70 the other day ( thats not normal...was just in the zone.)

Well its getting to be that time of year again at my local open archery range. I shoot at Long Branch Park. Open archery range for general public. Through out most of the summer you can be the only there for hours. Come this time of year it gets crowded. Anways went out tonight and seen quite a few of the what I like to call the paper plate archers. Dusted off the bow for the first time. Put the paper plate up against the twine bales and start firing from 20 yards. Have the most god awful form you have ever seen. Their untuned ancient bows sound more like a 22 going off. They spend more time looking for their arrows than shooting. Finally get 3 out of 5 arrows to hit the plate and call it as they say...yup all sighted in im ready for the season. I feel horrible for the animal they plan to shoot at this year. I can do nothing but shake my head in wonder. On a side note I did see something else that made me chuckle. This asian guy was out there...pretty sure it was ShawnHu (jking) Anyways..i really think he watched the olympics a bit too much. And decided he could do it to and went out and bought everything the US olympic team was using. Was out there in a full on target rig. Looked like a contender or one of the other high end target bows 2 1/2 foot stab on it blade rest. The whole 9 yards. Was shooting at a 3d deer target. 20 yards away and couldnt seem to even hit the deer at all.

I like the Sitka pattern. Just pricey

You're best bet is to buy them from the Pro shop you get your bow from they will measure you. I have a 30 inch draw and the carbon Shafts not including tips or nocks measures 28 inch but I'm cutting it real close.

Arrows you buy must be cut. The pro shop should measure that for you also.

With the season in 20 days. Kinda late to get a brand new set up, dialed in, and proficient with it. Have you been shooting a bow prior to now? Bow hunting is about muscle memory and consistency which only comes over time with proficiency. Id be a little hesitant to go out into the woods and shoot at an animal without a solid 500 to 1000 shots under your belt. Congrats on passing your test.
