  1. I do not think shape makes a difference, I have had them out in the open by them self, behind wood piles and the edge of fields. With deer walk right up to them. I think it is more important to leave them out in an area for some time so the deer get use to them.

That is the key to have them out for sometime. If they are out there then they get more used to it. The environment change is the biggest thing they notice with blinds. I hunted my blind on state land last year and didnt have any luck because of the constant change. I had my best luck just sitting on the ground next to a tree.

  2. Well my first year went great!

Sitting on the ground is a hard thing to do.

Saturday we saw 4 coyotes I was able to get one of them with my crossbow. post-3681-0-20629600-1415669401_thumb.jp

  3. I didn't find it bad. some people have no idea that it's hunting season. Although  it is an issue having your pets chasing deer at ANY time throughout the year not just during gun season. On a piece of private land that i hunt i had 2  5yo bucks and 1 4yo buck on my trail cams every day, until i started getting multiple pics of a pit mix and small shepard mix.  Deer were gone...
