    I've been out all day in 4U, only deer I've seen were two I jumped right as I got where I wanted to sit this morning. Have moved around all day as its been a great day for it, haven't seen squat. Found a great spot to sit til sunset hoping it produces. Good luck all

    Nailed it. This everyone gets a trophy, don't hurt any feelings mentality our country is taken is making for a scary future. If one wants to go hunt else where, each is own. When I put in the time and all that time produces a nice harvest, I'm plenty happy to continue hunting this "awful" state of NY.

    Heading to work wishing it was tomorrow. Down to my last 3 days to make it happen for 2015. Gonna bring out the smoke pole tomorrow and do an all day sit in an area I've found 4 fresh scrapes/rubs over the last week....Enjoy the day and good luck all

    Giving up on deer til I get a chance to get out Friday with the boom stick...sitting in our blind wth my 2 buddies trying to limit out on the last day of duck/geese. Too nice out not to. Good luck all

    Been in since noon here in 4u. Only saw two separate flocks of turkeys. Hoping that changes here in the last hour or so.

    May seem like a dumb question but I'm kind of intrigued. What is the gain of doing any barrel shortening? I thought I understood why people did it with shotguns, but could be wrong there too. But what is the gain on a rifle if you could explain...thank you

    My point exactly, you people who think you're too good a woodsman to get lost. It's not always about being lost, what if you slipped and broke a leg, or back or hip?!? To enter ANY woods without a compass and something to start a fire is foolish. To think you're invincible to slipping on a rock or wet side hill or whatever for that matter is asking for trouble.

    Right that's a great point. Even for those of you who think you could never get lost even on familiar terrain. All it takes is a twisted ankle, knee or worse from a slip, trip or fall and you could be looking at an extended stay. Stay safe all

    Judging by the number of shots heard around and the 2 nice doe that walked within 20 ft of the tree I'm sitting behind, deer seem to be moving this morning. Beautiful day, good luck all

    Oh we have those, I work for a power company trimming. These lines were off-road, inaccessible to a bucket. But yes they are very handy.

    Ok so since getting out of the stand and moving around I've encountered 12 deer, all doe. There was only one I didn't get a good look at. Trying to find some fricken antlers. Staying in til dark.

    Understood, wouldn't miss that first hour just for a wheeler. I'm usually in the stand by 6, like to watch the sunrise and count the shots in the dark lol. Good luck to you as well. Just had four nice doe come within 30 ft of me after I got down from stand and started still hunting. No doe tag and no buck though

    I don't use it for that, he uses it to get in to his stand seeing as he's 85. It was getting worked on by my house. I'm 31 and will drag my deer out all by myself but thanks for insinuating I'm lazy

    Just got into stand here in 4U, got about halfway here and realized I forgot my grandfathers atv at the house, DOH! So after turning back around and grabbing it, I'm an hour behind, hopefully didn't miss much. Good luck all

    Gave up the stand for the blind, it's just too nice out not too. Have two geese and two green head mallards just to my left, trying to call them in. But I can't lie I also have the slug gun with me since there's been swamp buck sightings lately. Have fun all good luck.

    I have the beeman that is switchable from .177 to .22. Went to war with chipmunks last year and came out victorious thanks to this thing. Use the .22 barrel and pellets, they pack a punch.
