  1. Smith point archery in patchogue
  2. Buddies in NC only know two ways to hunt, over bait, or by use of dogs. They were in dis belief when I told them that neither was legal here.
  3. Looks like it could be from a recurve, helical vanes and old school Zwicky.
  4. Good thing his face was painted and he's in camo while spot lighting! I'm sure it is NOT legit.
  5. I like to try and get a bow kill and a rifle kill, I am very happy with that. I give it my all for deer until duck season starts, ducks over deer any day for me.
  6. #6 high brass, killed most of my birds with that load with a fixed mod choke.
  7. Dicks in Huntington, moss bergs are the easiest gun to get chokes for. They are in the isle with the shot shells, saw them there 2 weeks ago.
  8. 5 yr old Martin Moab ( Single cam version of firecat) 70 lbs @ 31" draw Beman ICS Bowhunter 340's @ 10 gr per inch, 100gr slick trick mags, shrink fletch blazers with Nocturnal Lighted Nocks TruGlo Microbrite sight new this year QAD Ultra rest New strings for this season Scott release, and Bohning Lynx quiver Has blown right through all 3 deer I have taken with the bow, and hits harder than most of my friends " speed bows" almost knocks the target over. Sighted for 20,30,40.
  9. Checkout a Finnwolf, prettier super smooth version of the 88.
  10. I have a BLR .308 straight stock, Belgian made was my grandfathers. The gun is so accurate with open sights that I have no need to scope it. Awesome gun for long walks. Also shoot a Winchester 88, and a Sako Finnwolf which is a dream to shoot.
  11. Anyone have either of them? I want a super warm and quiet pair of heavy bibs, I will be mainly using them for long sits in the stand and still hunting during rifle season. I like the Wool and the availability of tall sizes with the stand hunter bibs, I am 6'4" and 180lbs. I have Carthart bibs that I put on when in stand during the late season but they are noisy but warm. Any experience would be appreciated. Thanks guys.
  12. +1on the Helly Hansens, best rain gear I have ever used and fairly quiet too.
  13. Thats a pig of a buck, he would be a shooter for sure.
  14. Little shop in fishs eddy by me in Hancock, bow tech dealer. Nice guy.
  15. Headed up to my club for our annual 22.shoot contest and lobster bake. Fun times.
  16. My area 4W went from low to Med, My other areas 3m and 1c are both high.
  17. Tim Wells is no joke, checkout his bow coyote hunts.
  18. I personally like beavers, they turned a muddy marsh into a beautiful pond on my property years ago and we had lots of ducks and geese visiting. But someone asked if they could trap them and we said no. But the next spring there was not beavers anymore and now the pond has drained because of no maintenance on the beaver dams, we think the guy trespassed and trapped or shot the beavers because there were about 5 of them.
  19. Got my license a few years ago at a sporting goods store here in LI and the color for the year was green, but my place had a previous years paper in the machine which was yellow. Every time I would see an ECO I would have to stop and explain what happened and they would look over my license carefully. Even other hunters would tell me I had an old lisences and I would have to explain myself, pain in the arse.
  20. Slick tricks, skewered a buck a few years ago went in his left shoulder and out his right hip quartering to me, clean pass through. Buck walked 20ft shivered and dropped. Great broadheads.
  21. Good luck again, a lot of times guys will get permission and glom it from anyone else getting permission even if they only hunt once a week at most. Guys get pretty cutthroat over private spots., even spots that aren't private you will finds guys thinking it is their spot and they will leave treestands up even when it's illegal especially on county lands. There is a lot of public land, and good public land at that. In recent years they have been opening more and more land for bowhunting which is great.
  22. What part of adirondacks? Nice videos.
  23. I have a summit bushmaster very similar to the open shot. Great climbers.
  24. Also shoot a Martin Moab, it's the single cam version on the fire cat. Had it for 4 yrs and it is at the shop for a new string right now. Just upgraded the rest to the QAD and put the new Truglo microbright on it. Great bows.
