@cfab there are 2 parks in dmfa but they are bow only...if you sign up thru Cornell I believe you can gun hunt Cornell property.

DP you should try to get to Ithaca in late January...a couple bow only parks, two colleges full of restaurants, bars and ladies if your singlish, ha.
I'm way too married for that last feature!
Is there public land out there or do you have to know someone? I wouldn't mind putting another one in the freezer.

I absolutely do. The tracks showed up heavily this past week, far more than I saw all through bow season or gun season. I'm going to keep knocking em down until there aren't any tracks left!

I saw about 12 does including one which looked big enough to be a mature buck that's already dropped his headgear. Smoke pole comes back out on Tuesday!

If you do get a little freezer burn, do you use it to make stew or is it no good at that point? I've had some packages from last year look suspicious lately and just choked it down and smiled. Thoughts?

Shot this sow last weekend at our place in the Adk's in Warren County. My first one!
200lbs, 60 yards with my .300 Win Mag. She went about 18 yards and died within sight. That makes things much less stressful!
