where are some of the best creeks and rivers in Central NY? i'm not far from the West Canada and Cincinnati Creeks and fish them regularly. is there any other spots from Syracuse-Albany area that are worth a trip.

i've been interested in duck hunting since i was a teenager. never knew anyone that hunted for duck, so i don't have anyone to ask these questions. if anyone could answer a few i'd appreciate it. is there a class i need to take? (other then the hunting safety course) where can i get the license? where is a good location in or near oneida county? when does the season start? other then duck calls and decoys, is there anything else i would need?

you using regulat cotton socks? if so, that might be the prob. when i hunt i use wool socks. helps wick the sweat, so my feet don't get as cold. if thats not it, maybe you have poor circulation?

sorry if this is the wrong area. was just wondering how you guys stay warm in the cold temperatures. at the moment i'm using a set of hunting boots(brand escapes me), wool socks, long johns, mossy oak breakup pants(insulated with fleece), matching jacket, mossy oak gloves and shirt. i was thinking of grabbing some under armour for the base layer to replace the long johns and as an additional layer for the upper body. anyone got opinions on this?

I've never had any luck in there lol. Now the Cinncinatti Creek that flows into it...I've got some nice 19 & 20 inchers out of there.

Hi everyone my name is Chris. I just got into hunting the last couple of years. I love it and love fishing as well. I just purchased my first gun, a Remington 870, and I have a Barnett Crossbow. I hunt deer, but am looking to hunt bear. I have various fishing poles, but the one I use more times then none is my Ugly Stick. I just got into fly fishing and have got a Okuma rod and reel. Now all I need is fly line and that will be all set. I live in Utica, NY. Hunt in Marcy, NY and I'm looking to expand. I fish just about anywhere where there is trout. Thats about the small and skinny of it. Oh and I love metal, thrash and punk music...well just about anything thats catchy lol. Thats if you guys were wondering about the punx part of my name and i don't consider what the radio plays as punk.
