Looked at that at bass pro here in nh tried to get them to order me a rem 700 5r mil spec in 308 no go.

Wnybuckhunter, in regards to rem 700 cost for build , I recently looked into buying a 700 for a build, new factory offering quality was horrible, started hunting around for a 70s to 80s bdl in 308 . I gave up on that. by the time I either buy custom action or acquire a trued action barrel it install match trigger, stock work pay gunsmith well over 2000. Instead went mega maten build in 308 bout half the price and doing it myself.

Here in nh moose are are having big problems with winter tick and brain worm killing them off. I got picked in 1998 to hunt them they gave out 550 permits in 2014 127 permits.

Belo, I own a ruger m77 30-06 hunted with it for 15 yrs accurate gun took many deer with it. in 1998 got picked for moose hunt here dropped nice bull moose with it. But with the we hunt it was a handicap.Purchased a rem model 742 woodmaster auto loader 30-06 turned out to be a jammaster. Then moved on to ar's. Mine shoots and functions flawlessly. Most accurate rifle I've ever owned.

Our bow season starts September 15 thru nov 10 by then everyone has had enough sitting around , not many fields to snipe out of . quality bucks are hiding we gotta move them.

thats a good caliber reload that one for a friend,if u hunt with a single shot chances are u need not worry bout getting one.

I m one of many who bought ar's for hunting. The reason has been answered clearly. My gun has hunt specific features 4 round mag , non adjustable stock, camo dipped real tree ap. leupold vxr 3-9-40. 22 in barrel. If I ever need follow up shot bang shoot again. I Would rather not have to fumble with a bolt reaquire the the target then shoot. Plus there fun to shoot. Cost more though.

My goal here was to try to get some info safe approved mods for ar's not to measure dicks or offend anyone. Belo u bring nothing new to the table for me other than u like cheap bolt guns. Great, kind off topic but not interested. Been there do that.

Remington is the only one making ammo for it. Brass is available. I buy cases of core lokt 150 gr .15.00 a box . Then reload them.

For all u 2 nd amendment guys in February nh senate passed sb 116 no Ltc required to conceal carry . Yesterday house of reps took comments on said bill. It's expected to pass unchanged. Will be watching. Keep u posted. For those looking to relocate.

Since when were hunters allowed to hunt with 30 rounds. Even here in free America you cannot hunt with more than 5 in the mag. Secondly most guys hunting deer like myself don't use 223. You sound like one of the a wholes who make your laws. Ar's come in many calibers, mines 30 cal spits 150 gr nosler bt 2600 fps . .67 groups at 100 yds. Reloads.today's offfering for that kind of performance in a bolt gun cost a lot and quality of said bolt guns are crap.

Is was saying gtg hunting application for my intended uses. If I was ny resident I'd keep one handy in case. Install to leave the house.

Approved. They said it is the gen 2 .old version mag would drop Out when u opened receiver. Some bs about patent infringement so they changed design. They have them and install for customers.

I just called precion armory in Carmel ny they are selling compliant ar's with the mr2 mag lock they say they have paperwork from sp okaying this modification.for a hunting application gtg. Pop pin pivot upper load.close upper push pin hunt.

The mag lock is about the only way I would go. What store sells them that way so I can inquire

To each his own.you did spent half as much, and have half the gun in accuracy, rate of fire ,ergonomics, and diy service ability. Also mult purpose wouldn't want that bolt gun in a self defense situation. All these thing cost more

Thanks. Not unfamiliar with asinine laws,hunt coyotes in Massachusetts with a rock river 223 had to pin stock and mags limited to 10 rounds.at least their clear With that I need to do to be compliant.

Thanks to all.did some research on those mag locks. ar 15 .com 60 pages worth . Apparently their not being made anymore. Looks like it's fudd gun in ny for me for now.
