I have had a lot of luck with Cabelas MTO-50

 

They are quiet for rain gear and light

I have a friend that swears by them. But some reviews are saying something different. I guess it time to do the research.

 

Jeremy, can your cams do video with sound and time lapse?

I am hearing good things about the Cuddeback cameras. We have a few different cams now and most have a late trigger speed. You see the animal in the frame but some are just the tail end. Just wondering if the Cuddeback cameras are worth the extra money?

I was shooting Beemans. I switched to Gold Tips. Big difference in speed and tighter groups

most of the 2 man stands have the half platforms. I don't like that at all. I stand most of the time and I like to fold up the seat and lean on the tree

We have a few ladder stands on the property. My favorite is the outpost XL. It is roomier than one man stands and more solid than the same priced 2 man. But I did a trip to Ohio and the guy there had a single swivel seat stand. That was awesome. Quiet and easy to move when you heard that noise behind you. Can the guys (and ladies) let me know what stands you are using and if you like them or not. I am looking for a couple new ones.

[ATV for hunting]

In my camp we have been debating about the use of an ATV to get to hunting spots. I am old school and leave the machines in the shed until we need them to get a deer out. The younger generation looks at it as no big deal. I seem to be losing the debate as some friends use their machines and still have luck shooting bucks (some are shooting real nice deer).
