I shot a spike this morning about 10 minutes before I had resolved to pack it in.  I have been bowhunting for 11 years, and this is only my second deer with a bow.  I bow hunt exclusively state land, and between work and kids I only get to hunt one half-day a week--some weeks not at all.  I know a lot of guys would pass a spike, but I was absolutely shaking with excitement.

Any deer on public land, especially with a bow is a trophy.  It is easy to be picky when you have a large private area you can manage.  But all bets are off on public land.  Take what you can get!  Congrats!

Really beginning to think I’m no good at this.
Sat on ground blind fur about 40 minutes until I started to lose my mind so I got up and still hunted for an hour. Nothing.

I could be screwing things up by walking all over my property but I just don’t have the temperament to sit and wait.

The first person that says, “patience” is dead to me.

I hear you.  I still hunted the Adirondacks last weekend and covered about 20 miles.  Now coming back to western NY I have tried to sit with my bow twice this week.  I can't sit there for more than an hour.  I just want to get up and move around.  Need to get back to the ADK!

  3. I have been wearing them for two weeks and almost love them. My close vision (within 2 feet) is a little blurry. I can see super clear out to about 20-30 feet and then my long distance is a little blurry. For the most part, I don’t need readers now.

I shot my handgun the other day and that is the best I have been able to see my sights. My bow sight is also at that distance that is very clear, which is great.

I am going back on Tuesday for a follow-up and I am hoping they can tweak my prescription a little to make distance and reading a little better. If they can, they will be awesome. If not, I still prefer these over progressives.
