  1. So I got the chance to do some scouting in Bonaparte's Cave State Forest off from Corbine Rd this past weekend. There's a pretty good supply of Hickory trees in there that have dropped a lot of nuts on the ground; a few beech trees but none of them were mature enough to be producing nuts in great supply yet. Squirrels have been all over the Hickory nuts; lots of empty husks everywhere. Unfortunately it was really windy so the critters were hunkered down. I saw a handful of reds; they're lucky I was chasing greys.
  2. I was wondering if anyone out there knew of any good squirrel hunting areas on the state lands surrounding Harrisville (or anywhere else in norther Lewis County or St. Lawrence County)? I wanted to do a little "scouting" on the computer before I put boots on the ground. Thanks.
