    I went up with my father today, and he was lucky enough to see a nice 6 and shoot at it. Unfortunately he missed the shot, but they began logging on the lease we hunt, so I plan on going back again this weekend.

    Going up off exit 23 on Wednesday, any reports from that area regarding deer activity? Need to get my wheeler out before the snow hits, and now's my best chance to do it. Figured I'd hit the woods for a few hours in the morning. Any reports would be much appreciated!

    Heard the strangest call coming from probably 200 yards down the ridge I'm hunting, went to go investigate to find what looked to be a buck and a doe actively mating. Only a 4 pointer and with the buck I'm hunting in 4J I decided to let him continue on if he so pleased. It honestly sounds like a goat pitched call but more of a moan.     4J has been hot, but sadly these past two days have been super rough, but I'm blaming that on this warm weather. I'll be out on partridge run for opener. Good luck

    The plan is to hunt Partridge run in the AM in a spot that I've dubbed "Doe Valley" after consistently taking a hog out of the valley for the past 5 years straight now. Nice hollowed out stump to seat yourself in and scan out over a valley bordering one of the many ponds on the property. PM I'll be hitting my bow stand most likely forever in search of one of those 4J monsters I've seen roaming my area. Good luck to everyone and be safe!

    Crazy rut activity this evening in 4J. Missed out on a 10 I've been watching all season. He came through hot on a doe, needed 15 more yards to get a good shot. Went out this morning and not much activity, but between 2:30 PM-dusk the deer were extremely active both today and yesterday. Lots of chasing and buck activity. Can't shoot 'em on the couch, tomorrow might be a good day to hit the stands if you're in the Albany area.
