I have a pretty clean record my last ticket was when I was 17 and that was a speeding ticket, its been over 3 years. I just want to do the best I can to get it reduced, considering it was june 30th, funny the last day of the month, trying to meet quota probably. But the whole situation was just weird, he had his hazard lights on so I went into the other lane (no traffic) and as soon as I passed he speed up right onto my bumper of the trailer. Then he wouldn't even come to my window he stood back a few feet behind my driver door, I only saw him through my mirror. Take in mind this is a country back road with house's around. I'm going to go to and plea not guilty and try to get everything taken care of, Atleast its not a huge issue !

I said this to the cop and he said that no matter what size it must have tow lights. And im not looking for an excuse I plan I knew it was illegal and I drove it. Im looking to make sure what he charged me with is correct. Thanks so far everyone

I pulled up 402.3 is for unregistered trailer. Seems like there would be a huge difference between an illegal car and a illegal trailer lol

It just seems that there would be a different category for a trailer then a vehicle but maybe that's for the judge to decide ? Also I heard that if I register it before I show up to court they might throw the fine away any truth to that ?

It was the trailer that was unregistered

I got a ticket for unregistered vehicle, As I was towing my 8x10 homemade trailer, I had my fourwheeler on it and was on my way to go riding. Is this the right fine for my situation ? It is section 4011a- Unregistered motor vehicle. I know I should have just put the atv in the bed of my truck but I didn't have ramps and I was only going 3 miles away. Can anyone tell me if this is correct ? Also he misspelled the name of the road wrong but I don't think that can help me any.

I agree with above, I was stuck in the same situation except with a transmission. I told them I suspected the rearend had blown out and they said oh no no its the tranny. Needless to say after a new tranny was installed the rearend was the issue. They covered the cost of labor and parts the the rear, i footed the transmission bill.

Doc you feeling okay ? Just because the supplier does not have product does not mean they are not trying to get it. Trust me they want to sell it. They can get it so we can get it. That's like you going to buy brake pads for you car and the auto store doesn't have any. You going to say " why the hell are you in business if you cant supply me", more then likely no you would not. We are all upset with how this is going, just hold on and it will get better.

Thank's ! but everyone I'm talking to says there still giving them to almost everyone who applies, atleast here in Tompkins, My brother told me he applied about 3 years ago but got denied, I don't believe he even applied I think he was blowing smoke of out his you know what. Fingers are crossed that I get mine, would be a shame if I didn't just because of the money and time I have invested into it !

Yeah I applied for concealed but I know they will drop it to just hunting/target which is fine for now because I plan on moving in a few years. But hopefully it only takes a few months. I believe my first purchase is going to be a 1911 I wanted a .45 but im reading around that says they aren't really a lot better for knockdown power compared to the 9mm. maybe I can find a nice 1911 short model around locally. Id prefer the .45 but my wallet gets to negotiate haha

Well I finally got all of my paper work done and turned in about a week ago, Now the awesome wait, here in Tompkins they like to wait till the very end then finally send it or deny. What some local gun dealers were shocked was I didn't have to have a pistol already purchased to put on the permit. I'm having a hard time because I wouldn't mind paying for one in advance and having him hold it, the issue is that im not even allowed to legally hold a pistol without having my permit, so this is where im confused. Why would someone purchase a gun to put on his/her permit if they cant actually hold it to see how it feels in their hand ?

Ha id like to see anyone get ticketed for killing a snake, not know what it was. When in doubt kill. I personally hate snakes so good job !
