This is interesting to me because I just bought a m1 Garand and would love to take it out next year...: there are not too many factory safe loads for this gun. Ok so here is the bad thing...... I bought this one because I think it will be a fun shooter..... I have now decided I want one of all matching parts with all matching dates as a collectors item..... . Not too much of a story. I went to a few gun shops around me in rockland and no one had what I wanted... I was being a little picky as I wanted WWII serial numbers. The only ones I found down here were from Korea. I wound up taking a drive up to hopewell junction to collector rifle and amo. He had 3 on the racks and after inspecting all of them I chose this one. All the parts are Springfield armory the receiver dates to February 44 so pre d day. The barrel is newer dated 65.. The gun functions beautifully. I also picked up two bandoliers of Greek m2 ball. Hi everyone, so I live in rockland county and am currently in the market for a m1 Garand, does anyone have any suggestions of gun shops to try.... I am willing to drive around 2 hours to go to the right shop.. I will also be in Binghamton for work next week so I am willing to explore a little up there as well... . Agreed as far as dec is concerned the area is open for hunting it is only a town no projectile law being violated no poaching in my book...... Oh and the liberals that run the town will never change things...

. I agree I think the only ticket that could be issued is for the discharge.... And seriously I know numerous people who practice with their bows in their back yard so how is taking a deer any different in that respect

. This is in southern westchester and guns are not involved they have a no projectile law to cover bow hunting..... So technically he is just as guilty of breaking this law when he practices with his bow in the back yard
