I'm out in sterling right now, hunting from the ground cause I left my tow rope on the kitchen table and didn't want to use the climber with my bow

I'm such a dumb ass, weather started to break so I drove the 45 min to sterling, realized I left my pack on the kitchen table has my tow rope and knife in it, guess I'll still hunt or find a nice spot to sit, I can always use my multi tool in the truck if I get lucky

I know this is going to seem like kind of a rant but I live in southern westchester no hunting at all not even bow due to town ordinance. Now I know for a fact that there are a few plots of land, the woods across from stew Lennords and next to ridge hill, the Irvington resivor and the woods of the sprain north of Jackson ave that are hunted local police officers. It just pisses me off that these are are loaded with deer closed to the public but the cops use it as their own personal hunting club. Also I was waking in the woods by orchard beach behind the Nypd shooting range a few weeks ago and the was a stand back there too! I wonder who that belongs to. Just a rant and something that really bothers me.

I say if it's a older fawn take the fawn, not as much meat but it's all nice and tender!

Hey, how are you! I did! A doe actually I spotted her while I was walking up the gravel road. I was able to slip off into some cover and wait for her to give me a good shot. Wound up hitting her at about 10 yards with my 30-06. I'll actually be bow hunting tomorrow afternoon on the other side of 17a. I meant to thank you for that and couldn't find your contact info!

Can't believe it going to rain all day Saturday guess I'm going to push my first sit back till Sunday! At least Sunday is going to be pretty cool out! All of these posts are making me jealous!

I feel like I run into a few hunters every year, not nessissarly a tactic to get away from hunters. Just a idea to seem more deer.

So, I was thinking about bow hunting sterling during the regular season. Going into one of the bow only areas and seeing what happens. I know that place is a war zone opening weekend and the deer all try and find a safe place to be. I wonder if the bow only areas will be seeing a lot more action with all the shots going off. Any opinions.

I'll be out Saturday all day! I wanted to take off and hunt tomorrow through the weekend, but we have our biggest event of the year at work tomorrow and I don't think my boss would have been too happy with me taking off. I did however take off November 3rd to the 10th so I should have some nice hunting then!

I like to shoot between 3 and 8 arrows every day for about a month before the season, other than that it's once about every other week for the rest of the year.

I only wear it too and from hunting, but that's it.
