get to keep my last tweenkie. at about 8 am i hear some crashing and grunting flying threw the wood.Look of real quick and i see a doe being chased by a smaller buck.By the time i realized what was going on they were gone into the thick crap.Tried grunting him back but he was gone.

we used to just put it on ice in a cooler when i lived in florida.Skin it,then quarter it right away then put in in a cooler full of ice.The archery shot deer tasted fine.The ones shot while being ran by dogs tasted nasty from all the adrenalin and not being able to hang it for a while.

ok and day time temps as of what?ice in the cavity will save the meat close to the ice.But not the hind quarters or front shoulders. Bottom line.Kill it then butcher it.If you know the butcher isn't open and can't cut it up yourself then go home and come back another day.You owe that much to the game you are pursuing.Indians didn't wait for the butcher teepee to open up.The cut it up and used it all up.Why should we be different?

I have never heard a legitimate complaint about a game warden.they are sportsmen like us.they are here to protect hunting and enforce the laws that are there to keep everything fair chase. I like talking to them.They have some really cool stories.Thats for sure. -
makes me hate christmas time.I wan't to get the kids what i want.Climbers,camo,bows and guns.But they are kids.They like technology.LOL. I might have to do some debating.

ya xmas season you can get some good deals.too bad mom is set on the ipod so i have to research untill after christmas and get it for spring.Ipod............MEH...........cant eat itunes.LOL.

My thoughts?Not to sound like a dick,but before you pulled that trigger you should have thought of the concenquences.You should have skined it,quartered it and put it on ice.Or donated it.You got internet access and you can see the 3 day forecast.You know if you kill it you have to follow up on it.And the butchering process is next step after the drag out the wood.Sorry but i don't agree with letting it hang if it is above 40.And i cut mine up right away any how.Even if it is 40*. Your meats spoiled.Wasted.

skin right away. 40 degrees is the key number.If it is above 40, cut it up.At least quarter it up and get it on ice. you can't really mess up the butchering process.Well you can make a mess of it,but you won't waste any meat.If it isn't perfect make it stew meat or grind it into hamburger. As far as the girl,well i ain't going to tell ya about relationships but if she doesn't like you to be happy with a hobby as real as hunting then thats something you two need to work out.

I agree with wooly.But if you don't get those yotes out of there they will hurt your herd bad. There are some forums just for trapping.Talk to the land owners if you aren't,and get it lined up to get them trapped out of your area. If you get enough snow they will feast on the deer and when the fawns are born they will feast on the fawns too.Besides they are hurting your small game hunting as well. -
Oh ya.they are still chasing.Don't give up yet. tomorow will be COLD.they will be chasing.Bet ya my last tweenky on that.

Man the girth on those main beams are the same as that 10's I like big six points.He is a bute.

if you want the head and rack for a european skull mount,you can call dec for a found carcus tag for the head and rack.That way you aren;t leaving the woods with a head with out a tag on it.Otherwise you don't need to report it.The cyotes and other critters will do their work. Those horns would make good rattling horns for ya.Take fine tooth saw and cut them off.The deer mice and porky pines will have them chewed up after a while.
