My birthday is monday.I used to take the day off on my B-day and hunt when i lived in FL.For some reason,back then it seemed like the coldest day of the yr.Ask my wife and she will tell ya why.LoL.But i have it off afaik this yr cause i am laid off.So if this WE doesn't produce i have the 17th.My luck is without me this yr tho.Maybe i will just go to state land that day.To a spot i have never been and just walk in with my Grandpa's .50cal hawkins.That will be the luck pusher.I think i just came up with my plan.LOL

I don't know exactly what tactic i wan't to take.I have put so much thought and planning into my hunts this year and i have been just on the edge of being lucky.At the one parcel i hunt i can't take does.And thats all i have seen since gun has opened except a little buck chasing a doe.I have a nice ridge there that runs between an uncut corn field and a cut field.It is also the ridge that leads from the cut field to a cattail bedding area.Saw 3 does last sit there on monday.But that spot is a no doe spot.Where does run,bucks may run also.If my luck is with me. Or behind my house where they have beat down trails that lead to the bedding 60 yards from my back door.Its a thicket.And they are in there heavy.The wind is tough to play on this stand.They may come from 3 directions but usually straight up from the east.So if i have a west or NW wind in the a.m. i usually won't bother.At least here i can shoot doe. I don't know what i want to do.Seems like the hunting gods have been teasing me all yr so far.I am curious to what they have in store for me for my last hooray.

without the light reflecting off the orange it doesn't stand out well.I have seen guys with full orange walk by and not seen them stand out like they would with light.Why don't you think D.O.T. and OSHA have made 2 inch reflective stripes mandatory on all high viz vests. But at 30 mins before you can see the orange.45 mins before on a cloudy day you may not.But there is always going to be people shooting long before legal time any way,no matter on what the law says is legal.

i had 4 by me alone yesterday.A piece i hunt is crawling with them.Going out next week with the son.Letting him pop a couple with the .22.

without much light to reflect on the orange it doesn't show up.need plenty of light to reflect of the orange for it to stand out.When it is 45 minutes before sun up the orange doesn't do any good.Even with the brightest orange vest you still just look like an object moving.So they might want to make it mandatory to use a flash light upon entry and exit also,so you don't get shot.

Ya.a 8 inch hole can really fit a size 11 boot some how.Had a kid with us once and he went in one leg all the way to the crotch.Then he didn't say any thing cause he thought he was going to get into trouble.All at the same time my propane ran out of my heater.Saw him shivering reall bad then notice he was wet.Had to dump the water out of his boot.LOL.Poor kid. Look everyone.I told the kid that the rage 40ke heads are the only one he can use twice.That is if he is convinced he want's to use a mechanical head. they are good with 35-55# DW's.My son shoots them on the same exact bow at 35#.Kids and women have been dropping deer with them since they were made.I like my rage that i use.So i got him the same style BH but for the little guy.They are 40.00 $ at gander.Any good cut on contact blade is about 35.00 any how.I also like the idea of my son not having the blades on the FB that might cut him or his string.I think the rage are a little safer for him for now. http://ragebroadheads.com/products/40KE.html#.UMfL5IOuluw
