A little late but I got my first deer last day of crossbow. Will post pics, hit a 8 pointer at 35 yards right before dark, only ran about 100 yards from where I hit him. Didn’t get any blood for a decent bit but eventually found a tree sprayed with it. Fun first year of hunting

Some rubs/scrapes I found... now if only I get some time to go back and hunt this area. Do you guys recommend hunting in bad weather? During snow and rain

First time deer hunting ever yesterday and today, saw a grouse, rabbit, and something spooked a deer so I saw that run away about 100 yards away, nothing this morning Yet except for coyotes yelping

I live in the Brooklyn so probably around the Catskills but I’m willing to drive to the ADK or wherever the hunting is good. I’ve scouted Cranberry mountain wma Preseason but didn’t see much sign or just not experienced enough to notice deer sign yet. Gonna give sterling forest a shot opening week and see how it goes
