just wondering if they were any good to eat. my dad says he used to eat them but he seems to have eaten everything at one timeor another so that doesn't mean its good lol.
-
very nice gun. .223 is a good round for woodchucks I've gotten a few with my ar-15. what do you do with the woodchucks eat em or toss em to the coyots?
-
I want one... maybe two lol. One for each hand.

using a xbow during the archery season just seems wrong. Maybe after a few years of it being legal peoples minds will change but right now I hate to say it but I would be dissappointed if one of my fellow hunters picked up a xbow and hunted with it. I'm proud to be a bow hunter because it is harder then rifle or shotgun.

Exactly what it is. No you don't have to request it they said they were going to start sending them out a year or two ago to everyone I guess they're just getting around to it now. My dad and I both got them at the same time and we both have the same name and I got mine and he hasn't so I don't know how they are sending them maybe just random.

fee is the same as if you loose your paper license. 5 bucks. they still send you your paper one every year too.
-
I finally got my card after hearing about it for the last two years they finally sent me my lifetime license card. I was beginning to think it was just a myth. Now when my wallet goes through the wash and dryer I won't need to get a new one.

I was told any thing south of rt 20 in Chatauqua was going to be open to rifle. which is pretty much all of it.

Active bear den found on my property - old man saw it today.

I've heard that feeding them and if they have cubs show them you mean no harm by trying to pet them in the presence of the mother is always a good idea. kidding a side in the southern tier where i'm from we get the occasional bear siting but they never seem to stay in the area more then a week. They seem to be very nomatic. -
I shoot the 2" blazers but never shot aluminum arrows so I have no idea lol. but i did a quick google search and all the forums i looked at had quite a few guys on there that shoot that set up and have no problems so there ya go. just like anything else bows, arrows, nock, stabilzers and so on.... if it works for you then its good.

I never see political staff cuts or any politicians being cut. Pretty soon your going to have hundreds of politicians running a few state workers who are working for whats left of new york state population. Think of an upside down pyramid.

always good to have a reason to invest in a new rifle though isn't it? lol

That's just it for hunting I don't see needing one as I can hit the kill zone out to 45 yards no problem. But I did just start getting into 3d shoots but i'm using the same bow i hunt with so i really don't want a 2 foot stabilizer. Vibrations isn't a problem and its very quiet but I'd like to see a few more 10x's on my score cards. Maybe more practice is what I need instead of stabilizers. I will be checking out your site though centerpunch.

Just wondering how you guys found the right stabilizer with there being so many different brands and different kinds how do you choose the right one without going out and buying a dozen. My last few bows I've bought used and just used what came on them. But I bought a new bow finally and have found all the accessories that fit me and am completely happy with it except the stabilizer. I've actually been shooting without one but I think I could get a little more accuracy with one. I shoot 3d but i want to hunt with it too. any suggestions on the topic?

I have the Iceman and love it. So if the rest of their line is as good of quality it sounds like a really good deal. Lots of good reviews too.

I got the text too and it said it was found on a golf course.
-
Wondering if anyone from here made it to this shoot and if so how did you do and what did you think of the course. Being my first one I thought it was awesome. I'm definetly addicted to 3d shoots now. I didn't do too bad I scored a 240 out of 300. 2nd out of 6 guys in our group.

I'm in Perrysburg which is about 40 mins south of buffalo. I'll check those sites out you mentioned. I finally got a new bow, not a hand me down like my last 3 bows so I've been out shooting almost every day and can't wait to do my first 3d shoot.

I'd really like to learn the trade of taxidermy. Thing is I have no idea where to start. I've googled it and can only find schools that are just to far away to even be practical. Is there anyone on this site that does it or knows someone? I'd like to know if there is something like weekend classes or someone who could steer me in the right direction. Thanks for the help.

have you guys seen the leupold vendetta? looks really cool but I'm not sure if they're legal to hunt with in new york. it's a bow mounted rangefinder. I googled it and found it for around 200 bucks. http://www.laserrangefinderreview.com/leupold/vendetta/

UTG Quadrail Handguard for AR-15 $50
RobC replied to RobC's topic in Hunting Items For Sale and Trade
That would be awesome. I bought it at the hamburg gun show for $95 bucks. ( I know I got ripped of I'm new to ar's) just to find out it was the wrong size for mine. They retail for about $70.
