  1. Maybe a call to the local police or trooper barracks would solve the question
  2. I'm worried that my neighbor might shoot the deer I'm about to shoot with my compound bow with his xbow right out from under me. Lol
  3. I can't imagine that there is a very high percentage of crimes committed with a registered gun that isn't stolen in the first place.
  4. I got a Ruger .204 that I'm really interested to see how it performs. Anyone ever use one?
  5. Ya I hear you guys. Spent the last two days reading manuals and load guides. I did get a table set up and mounted the press set up lights. Like a kid with a new Christmas gift.
  6. I like your thinking lawdwaz. I wonder if I can use that excuse on the mrs lol.
  7. Got a Rcbs press and accessories to start reloading. Pretty excited because I've been debating for about a year about spending the money. Well yesterday I got what I think is a pretty good deal. Got the press, scale, lube and tray, hand primer, primers, a couple trays for shells, powder and 25-250 dies for $160. I don't own a 22-250 I want to load .223 (5.62). So anyone interested in those dies let me know.
  8. They had to get special exemptions because it would be considered a destructive devise lol.
  9. Anyone know of any trapping courses in Erie, Catt, or Chat. County? I looked on the dec site already but I'm looking for something sooner. I live in the Perrysburg - Gowanda area so closer the better. Thanks
  10. I called rueger this morning and all they could say is to send it in. I really don't like the idea of sending it out though. all I can think is it will get lost or take months to get back. any suggestions on gunsmiths in the south towns. I'm from perrysburg about 30 miles south of buffalo.
  11. my gun is not cycling. after the shot the bolt won't come back to eject the spent case and load the next. I've tried different bullets and clips. it fires then I manually have to pull the bolt back to eject and reload which it will do fine manually. it's clean and oiled. I just bought the gun and has aftermarket parts. including butt stock. I've seen online models starting with 196 we're not semi but also seen that was b.s. anyone have any ideas?
  12. I had problems with my warn winch and after a few google searches it turned out that there was a recall on the solenod and I was sent one for free. Now currently two years later I'm having problems again. Not sure if it's the solenod or not.
  13. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.950_JDJ Some info on the gun.
  14. Ya any eastern coyote will have some wolf bred into them. Definitely a good looking one though.
  15. How is hunting for coyote in the day compared to at night. I'd really like to get into coyote hunting but haven't had any luck. To be honest I really haven't put in the proper time or knowledge but I have to find a good starting point.
  16. only thought this would be a cool picture and read. I already know everyone's opinion on hunting in a fenced in area. http://www.petersenshunting.com/2011/12/07/fenced-in-should-million-dollar-buck-be-hunted/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter
  17. the guys that are sitting all day long in the woods how often are you going out? A day or two a week? I am 5 minutes away from where I hunt and usually get laid of this time of the year so I am hunting 5-7 days a week. Sitting all day long is really not an option for me lol. The misses would have my stuff packed and tell me to live in the woods at that point.
  18. seems the as the season progresses my duration in the stand lessons before I'm on the ground or heading in. during bow I'll sit till 1130 go in for lunch and back in my stand by 1. now I'm lucky to sit still till 930. anyone give up on the stand all together?
