  1. Yea I read that forum phade....he also has a grand slam on the species. Turn your humor dial up a click or two.

For someone who believes so strongly in this product, you make it really hard to take any of your advice.

  2. Then there is Paul my friend who kills nice bucks every year in bow or gun.

He washes his hunting clothes just like any of his clothes ,in Tide.

He showers with the same soap and shampoo year round.

He uses no scent killers sprays, cover scents.

He certainly would not spend the money for scent loc,his camo is old and faded , but his stands are well concealed ,he goes to great lengths ,wiring up limbs and brush, hunting out of pines

He only hunts a stand if the wind is perfect, not just for hunting but approaching it as well.

He seldom hunts mornings,as he likes the afternoons better,so most of his stands are where he knows they move through then, because of years of scouting told him so .

It's the carpenter not the hammer.

+1! Well said. This mentality seems to be harder to find.

  3. I'm working on my second pup right now and they're the best hunting buddies you'll ever have without a doubt. I can't tell you how many times I've taken a simple walk with my shotgun and my retriver and had a blast just strooling through the woods. And the best part is, it gets even better when they start learning whats really going on and the excitement in their eyes when they see you in camo!

  4. Hard to say how he's making out without knowing more about the transaction but what I will tell you is the 7600 if a great gun... for the right hunter.

I used one for many years as a walking/driving gun. Mine is very accurate for the hunting that I did with it. Quick to the shoulder and quick to cycle. With that being said I wouldn't use it as a stand gun to watch over a giant gully and make a 300 yard shot with. All in all mine was rugged and dependable and thats what I needed.

Read some reviews online and I'm sure you'll get alot more info from that.

  5. Yeehaa Don! It begins again!! Unfortunetly I have other plans Saturday but we'll have 6 guns in the field on Sunday. The number of birds around right now is awesome. I've seen a few snows around also, so it would be great to have a few of them on the ground. Good luck and I look forward to the videos.

  6. Heck yea!

As far as banded stuff, I don't have much. One goose, two ducks and a pheasant. (Don't recall the story on the ringneck though)

I had no idea they banded ringnecks too. Well that's officially on the bucket list!

  7. I shot a goose band late September this year and the guy was able to give me the info over the phone. She was banded in 2012 in New Jersey and shot in Saratoga. Any idea if the banders submit the info soon after the bird is banded?

  8. Not a bad morning with 2 wood ducks and 2 mallards but ended it with this beautiful guy. I have 8 Canadian bands on my lanyard but this is the first duck I've ever shot with jewelry so I was pretty pumped! I will update with info when I call it in a little later.

  9. Had a good hunt Sunday morning with a limit of wood ducks and a few mallards added in. Shot a great looking male woody that might end up on the wall. Got to introduce my future bird dog to her first duck as well. post-1109-14126099996733_thumb.jpgpost-1109-1412610023146_thumb.jpg
