can you make some signs for me? I have some of those trespassing c#$# Suckers you speak of. I hunt on a friends property who lives in NJ and doesn't hunt but gives me and some others permission to hunt. He told me if I see a certain person who also has land near there (5acres) on his property, tell him to stay off because he tore up his fields with his atv's. So last year we saw the guy in his field hunting w/ his son on an atv. We politely told him what the landowner said to which he replied "I HAVE CARTE BLANCHE UP HERE" !!! After explaining to him that his "carte blanche" status had been rescinded he sped off on his atv with some choice words. The next day an ECO pulls in our driveway gets out of his truck and marches right into the back yard looking on the ground here and there. He then comes to our door asking us if we were baiting ! After assuring him we don't and didn't he finally believed us. We flat out asked him if someone called on us but he wouldn't say. We knew exactly why he came there out of nowhere like that. These are some of the people we have to deal with every hunting season and I hate it. So I wish you well in your quest for getting rid of your trespassers Woodchuck and Bubba.

I have an 870 wingmaster I put a rifled barrel on and use as a slug gun. I use the hornady sst 300 gr. sabots and I can shoot 2 inch groups @ 100yards all day long with it. You should have a great set up there. I really like the OD green stocks you got.

not my actual neighbor. I live in NC now. He lives down the road from the place that I hunt at in Greene county,NY right on the border of Ulster county. He told me yesterday on the phone he got the deer near Rhinebeck which is 1/2 hour-45min from where he lives. I assumed he got it earlier in the week. I didn't know it was taken on a high fenced property because he didn't say anything about that and I didn't ask. Someone else on here said it was taken at Northeast Whitetails in Elizaville a high fenced prop. I'm not saying it was or it wasn't I'm just saying he never told me that.

Now to be fair I know this person and as far as I know I doubt he would try to pass this buck off as a new record or some other hoax. So lets not start the character assassination just yet.

When I first saw the pic on face book the first thing I thought was that's gotta be a farm raised deer. I know there are some nice bucks on that side of the hudson but that is ridiculous.

I just got off the phone with one of our neighbors to the land where we hunt who lives there year round and keeps an eye on things for me. When I asked him how his bow season was going he replied oh not too bad ! He then directed me to his face book page to have a look see at his "halfway decent" buck. agree with you 100 %. Very unethical shot there. I know in WV. you can probably shoot numerous deer in a season like most southern states but that is no excuse for shooting at deer all bunched up like that.

totally agree with you. The ECO I had dealings with ( I won't mention name but he's one of 2 ECO's in 4r) was a total Delta Bravo. I'm not saying they're all like that but many are. I had better luck with Troopers. The one thing that really bothers me about the DEC is the fact that they can just walk right in your house. I think that is totally wrong and should not be allowed w/o a warrant or at least Prob. Cause. Now the old ECO from my area was a tough as nails, no-nonsense/you don't wanna mess with me guy named Jim Volker but he was a very fair and understanding man. We really miss him in our area. When I first started hunting my Dad and I went up to our land for the bow opener and 5 min. after we walked into the woods we saw a doe, 4ptr., and a huge 8 cruising in a ravine below us. As soon as they vanished out of sight we hear BOOM ! Long story short we saw some clown climbing out of a tree stand with a bow and his rifle over his shoulder. He shot the 8ptr. with a rifle on opening day of bow. We disarmed him and walked him out of the woods and called DEC. There was no ECO available so they sent a trooper. They arrested the guy and he lost his hunting privleges for however many years. We called ECO Volker and asked if we could get the antlers of the deer and he actually tracked them down and gave them to us. Thats the type of guy he was. They don't have ECO's like that anymore and if there are they are far and few between.

I think that deer will live. If it wasn't paralyzed from hitting the spine and the bleeding has stopped there is no reason to believe it won't live.
