Can't wait for an update.
-
Sorry as I have no advice but that is some really awesome footage!
-
Lots of places in New York sell the baiting stuff. Legal to sell. Not legal to use.
-
I use the sawyer spray and have had no ticks in the 2 years I have used it. As for deer I hunt on public land and if I am lucky enough to see one within range I will try to take it out. I love me some deer meat.

I agree with you surf. End of October is always the good time for me. I still go out early season though as I just love being in the woods.
-
Bring on the cold please!
-
Request sent. Looks great!

First day of the season out for me today. Sat 12 hours in the same spot. Saw a fox and that was it. Of course checked the cam and have a monster buck at midnight. This public land spot always seems to be good to me later in October but I will continue to try and Hunt it now as well as this is really the only spot I know. Back out Tuesday and hoping for the best.

Can't wait to hear how everyones day went. Just got home from work. I am pumped up to get out there tomorrow.
-
Hey John best of luck to you and best of luck to everyone as well. I will be getting out Sunday and Tuesday to kick things off. Exciting times are here again

I bought and use the exact same one cabin fever is talking about. It is great and I have no complaints. The sd card on my trail cam does not fit into my digi camera so the sportsman guide one was perfect.
-
I will be out on Wednesday to check my camera one last time before the season starts. I know so close to opening day but I can not resist lol.
-
This is the exact reason all us Hunters need to stick together especially Hunting on Long Island where you can catch lots of flack. I will never apologize for enjoying my time in the woods and Hunting.

It really blows my mind how people Hunters or not can steal others property. I put my first trail cam ever up in August on public land and so far it is still there. I will take it down on the 28th of this month when I head out there one last time before the season. My friend put a note on his cam once that said I hope you find the other 5 cams watching you while you steal this one. Best of luck everyone this season

Sunday October 2nd will be my first day out. Looking forward to it. Getting everything ready

Yeah it is low to the ground. My first time using a camera. Definitely not an expert on it. Just pretty excited to see some deer. I hunt on public land in a area that has brought me luck so hoping that continues. Now I am really excited.

I went out East today and my spot was fine. Thank goodness. I posted a few pics on the trail cam page as I finally figured out how to lol. Looking forward to October bad now

I took the drive out to the East end of Long Island today to check my first trail cam I ever put up. First off my spot was fine from the Hurricane which I was happy about. I got some good pictures on the Cam. Some Doe and a really nice Buck. Just have to hope he comes around during the day in October. The Does were out during the day the Bucks not yet. But had a nice size one come back a couple days ago so I am glad he is still in the area.

I will actually be getting out this Wednesday. Heading out East with my brother and his g/f who both Bow Hunt with me as well. Always nice to get into the woods. Hopefully not to much damage. I am pretty close to water so we will see.

Sawyer keeps me tick free. Love that product.

Rage Bloodtrail Video.... Pretty Graphic!
JimmyDaSavage replied to Cabin Fever's topic in Bow Hunting
I got my first ever Bow Buck last year with the 2 blade rage and the blood trail was huge. Deer dropped at 75 yards. -
Scary hunting encounters or happenings?
JimmyDaSavage replied to Robinson446's topic in General Hunting
Walking to my spot in the dark for me is creepy enough. Then when you hear random running and coyotes howling close by is enough to make me pick up my pace lol. -
I will be out next Wednesday checking my spots. Hoping for the best and thanks for the updates all.
