This pic was taken at about 2 feet. Ive had does come up to the car windows before in the Adirondack's, but never a buck. This fella came right up to the window and popped his nose in, letting me pet him on the head, with my beagle in the back seat. Kind of surreal as a buck hunter to be able to pet your quarry without shooting him first. *** Note, this photo was taken on private property and we did not feed him, therefore not in violation of the "dont feed the deer or stop on the highway signs***

take a look at the remington pump action carbines.. Iv3e had mine for years, they come with like an 19 inch barrel, which makes the overall gun very compact

It's not about why would you want 1000 rounds of ammo. Thats irrelevant, the point is its yet another way to stifle our liberties and moves us one step closer to the horrible europe style gun laws -
That middle one is a beast.. Wish we had more of those in NY

They would change there patterns only if the cover or food scource changes with the season, which they often do.. I would keep an eye on it, and mayb e take a spin through the woods in mid September to see if they are still using it, or if they are perdering different routes.. I dont use trail cams, but this is where they do their magic.. Even if they switch routes, if they are in the area, they likely wont be too far away

Not going to believe this....
NYbuck50 replied to Grizz1219's topic in Guns and Rifles and Discussions
You'd think that would be a possibility on a .338 ,.416 rigby or other really heavy caliber, but that shouldnt be happening with an 06 -
I dont know about downstate, but about half my buddies hunt up here in Syracuse, and a good number of my older clients as well.. One would think more people hunt up here period, i mean there isnt much else to do in fall aside from football

The Expanded Antler Restrictions - Who is excited?
NYbuck50 replied to TheHunter's topic in Deer Hunting
I would say it depends on where in CNY your talking about.... Seneca county 7J a 1.5 is likely a crotch or a 6 bc of the ample food.. But kick over to 7M in chenango county and their almost alll spikes. -
Okay, it's official - Whitetail Mgmt implemented

Finally, that 3 day Columbus day weekend wont be just scouting!!! -
check out the classifieds on archerytalk.... I bought my Hoyt on there in April after someone on this site sent me there... You can basically get whatever u want, new or used from shops all over the US... Its helpful if you take a day and go shoot a bunch of different models to figure out what feels best for you

Private companies executive pay has nothing to do with our economy.. It's purely sour grapes. What publicly traded companies pay their executives is up to the board, and to a larger extent their share holders... Remember the American people own these big companies through stock... If shareholders actually gave a shit what the CEO made, they'd sell the stock if they disagreed with it (reference Rite AId).. The executive pay bullshit is propaganda rhetoric coming out of the White House, to try and create class warfare, with the end goal of expanding government, and turning our Limited government into a socialist style European government. (which if you read the news isn't really all that exciting is it?) Turn off MSNBC and do some reading

Do you have any stands that are close to each other?
NYbuck50 replied to regulat0r's topic in Bow Hunting
I'll sometimes clear 2 or 3 trees in the same spot, to allow for different ways to sit based on wind direction -
I had a swivel a few yrs ago.. Worked great until it got cold and would squeak when you moved.. You have to keep it greased
-
Cayuga county has produced some very solid bucks
-
