With so many calls that are made from wood, as well as call surfaces, rain is their worst enemy. Not a fan of rainy weather myself. Rather wait for better weather and also weekdays. Season starts on Sunday, many are obviously off, not a good situation to be in to work a bird alone?

I had a sportsman 500 HO as well. Lawdwaz is right about them eating batteries. Seems even when off, the machines electronics siphon off a little juice all the time, left unattended, ends up a dead battery. Was told to either install a switch between the positive lead and starter for a "positive shut off" so to speak, or remove the battery altogether.

Congrats!!! That bottom picture is why I carry my bird out in a HS Strut Blaze orange carry bag. Not wanting to get my clothes full of blood and then jump into the truck!!!

I currently own a 2009 Silverado, like some have mentioned, lot's of issues with my truck over the years. Ball joints, front wheel bearings, driver side window control for passenger front window still doesn't work, Cruze control quit working, XM radio quit working, CD player quit working, EFI/gas pedal assembly had to be replaced, new rotors and brakes, and that dang CEL light comes on every 100 miles or so???? I had more than enough issues with my truck to last me a life time, that's why I am leaning with Toyota this time around. Now about the Nissan Frontier, what kind of MPG's are they getting with that same 4.0 V6?

Trying to decide between these two trucks. Yesterday I took out a 2016 Tacoma for a test drive, crew cab model with the 3.5L-V6. Awesome truck.....loved it. Will be taking out the Colorado next. Truthfully, seriously leaning with the Tacoma this time around.

I also like the look's of this gun. The Mossberg 930 Turkey gun. New for 2016. Price wise, much more reasonable than some of the other brands out there. And from the reports I have been reading on other forums, holds up very nicely!!

Yes, with that choke tube, these are my shells of choice!!

I also tried using these shells at 40 yards, but they patterned so badly!!!! Sticking with the Winchester Long Beards #4's!!!

Last target was shot at 50 yards. All were Lazer aimed distances.

Second target was shot at 40 yards using the same load and choke combo

Just got back from the range work. 1st target was shot at 30 yards using the Win. LB's 3" 1 3/4oz of #4's out of a Pattern-master code Black Choke tube .665

That would indeed leave a mark for sure!!!
