not sure, only because farmer next door to property said he saw some poults already.

Was out this weekend and saw some great things, however still have not filled my tag. Saw a boss gobbler at 7:30 pm Friday night w/ 3 hens who would not for obvious reasons answer me on Sat morning. Also jumped a few hens who were already sitting on eggs. My most unique find was a hatched turkey shell, I was pretty psyched to find this due to the size and fragility of it. I know a lot of folks on here shed hunt, but has anyone ever come across a hatched shell ? Just wondering.

Take the roast and marinade in = parts apple cider vinegar & water 1 chopped onion put in a small container of pickling spices and marinade for 3 days in fridge turn at least once a day. when it is done 1. take it out and brown on all sides (use bit of olive oil ) 2. put marinade back over and simmer 2-3 hours on low-med 3. pull out meat and let it cool 4. take a large box of ginger snap cookies and crush in food processor 5. put them into the brine and let it boil, once it starts to thicken pour through a screen strainer ( use for gravy) Also if you want to do potato dumplings.... peel and boil 5lb potato (adjust for serving or family size) let cool over night mash w/ 6 eggs 2 cups flour 1 chopped onion parsley, salt & pepper make small potato balls and drop in bioling salt water until they float ENJOY !

Was racoons I saw them (neighbor has a security cam and it catches 5 of them running through his back yard )

5 years ago did a pond project w/ the kids, dug hole, put a form pond in dressed it up w/ fancy rocks, flowers made it nice bought a dozen 0.99 cent feeder goldfish at the pet store and they grew. The kids named them all and we were happy and really enjoyed watching them grow ,sit next to the pond watch them swim, listen to the waterfall, and to my surprise nothing bothered them (cats, coons, etc) Last night a coon got in there and there is nothing left of our fish. My kids are gonna flip out when they wake up. I am so disappointed, and am trying to figure out how to break it to them, it's gonna be a rough day ! Thanks for letting me vent.

Condolences, to you and his family. Be thankful for all the times you shared with him in the great outdoors, if you have kids take them out, if not take another youth and "pay it forward" as the say.

never got one in the open field always in the woods, but as a few others have already stated, I have a lot of luck patterning and roosting studying their habits etc

Had one imbedded in my foot after coming in from a spring turkey hunt last year, thankfully no problems. My friend put liquid dish soap on it and then washed it out with peroxide. The dish soap apparently causes the tick to retract from your skin
